On November 15th 2010, the YMCA proudly assumed management of the Leanyer Recreation Park. Entry is free to this fantastic venue.The Park consists of dry and wet recreational area's. There are 3 massive water slides where you can ride the water, a water park with swimming area's and a water playground, just the place to get wet and splash around in. There is also a dry play ground, a skate park, a half basketball court, BBQ's, a Cafe and lots of shaded area'sThe newly opened cafe is a great place for a coffee and a bite to eat. it also has catering available to busy mums and other organizations. menu's are available on our website.The Recreation Park is open daily from 8am to 8pm. The Water Park is open Wednesday to Sunday from 10am to 7pm during school terms. During School Holidays we are open every day from 10am to 7pm. On Public Holidays we are also open from 10am - 7pm.

What a great place to spend the day and it's FREE! My sister was visiting from down south and was so surprised that such a great place was free.

An amazing facility that is completely free! Three main water areas - one with various bits of equipment that tip/spray water, a large round pool with gently sloping edges and three great waterslides. Something for all ages! All surrounded by grassy areas to relax on....More

Fantastic facilities for free. Loved the slides & the pool. Also plenty of BBQs & open space. Lots of things to do for all ages (kiddies pool, playground, water bucket).

Great local pool and fun for all ages, littles up to teens. Very clean and lots of lawn to sit down and even take a picnic although there is a small shop on site too. Lots of car parks and not busy on the day...More

What a fabulous park. It's free entry. Large shallow swimming area with water play area and three water slides. I left my husband kids here while I did some errands in the large shopping centre just down the road. Kids loved it.

What a place to have fun! If you are needing yourself and your kids to cool off, this is a local gem. Fun filled waterful adventures for the little kids and the big kids.

Ohh.. Kakadu is abt 150. km. and JAbiru is abt 220km from Darwin, Only a few Kms to Cahills crossing which is the furthest you can go without a permit. . Good burgers at Coroborree (100km) and Bark hut ( 130km.)Cahills... More
