What a brilliant place for the family! Great way to have a safe swim in NT. Very clean, spacious with a great atmosphere. 3 big slides for the big kids, big water play park, fountain area and massive playground and huge lagoon pool. BBQs and picnic tables under shade cloths around the park, plus a small cafe and vending machine. Several lifeguards at the lagoon and slides.

Easy to get to with a car, plenty of parking.

This is a Very impressive and free waterpark. There are water slides for all the different ages, there is a lagoon for swimming and there is the water fun part for younger children. Lifeguards are constantly patrolling all the areas which makes it very safe for children. There are free barbecues and plenty of grass to sit on. One of the best features is a play area and swing for wheelchair children. Overall a great attraction.

Have recently visited this water park on my recent trip to Darwin. Condition of the water playground needs improvements as the parts of the water playground wasn’t working. Have visited this water park in the past while I was living in Darwin on short terms

This water & recreation park was absolutely FREE. We couldn't believe it. What a great thing to have for families in the community. There was a great huge pool, splash pad and 3 x water slides. The new green waterslide was the best slide and such fun. You have to visit this place if in Darwin with families!

Best Park in Australia. Ticks all the boxes. Love the free, untimed parking. Let’s you enjoy quality family time without watching your clock. Something for all ages and tastes. 10/10 to management

It's free! Opens at 10, slides open at 11. Great play area for children to get wet and explore. The lake is large with plenty of room. Free BBQs and lots of shade and space to spread out. Highly recommend it if you need something to keep the kids busy in the heat.

This is a good water park to take the kids to, it's free and there's lots to do. There is big water slides for the older kids and adults, BBQ's, a big playground for the little kids and a water playground with a giant water bucket and slides. There is also a fake lake but this is to be avoided as it is murky and dangerous (several kids have drowned here even with the life guards on duty). They could do with having a water playground for under fives as the water playground gets a bit dangerous and crowded with bigger kids, and the little ones can get hurt. It's a free service provided by the NT Government and really you can't complain as it's free and there's not much to do in Darwin. Plus it's so hot it's a welcome relief from the weather. It's closed Mondays and Tuesdays I believe, but other days it's open, and school holidays it is open every day, but it's really crowded so is best avoided if you can. It's a great place for travellers to have a shower and cook a BBQ.

We went here just because it was free. That was a good idea. The kids loved it but claimed that the blue and yellow slides hurt where the sections overlapped. The water playground looked the most fun, with a huge bucket that poured water about every three minutes and twenty seconds. There is also a big pool that starts out shallow and gets to be about, I suppose, one meter deep. The lifeguards seem oblivious to their surroundings. The normal playground next to the waterpark and the skate park look good.
