Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We visited Litchfield NP and were impressed by the diversity of the landscape: dry areas with shrubs, thorny bushes, termite cathedrals and moist areas with streams, pools, waterfalls and a lush forest. While we cooled off in a clear stream, Tess prepared lunch: grilled barramundi, salad, bread, cheese, fruit, cool drinks. A gourmet meal! But best of all was Tess herself. We learned so much about the aboriginal people, their way of life, her family.
We recommend this tour to those who want more than just sightseeing.

Absolutely wonderful experience.
Tess's personal experience added significantly to the trip as did her cooking expertise.
A really enjoyable day.

Tess and Greg were the best tour guides we have ever had, and we have traveled many places in the world. They quickly assessed our group and it’s needs and adapted their tour to fit the needs of each individual. We had a person with physical limitations, a person who is a enthusiastic bird photographer, a biologist and a young eleven year old experiencing birding for first time. We could have not had a better experience visiting Darwin. We saw more than we anticipated and with thoughtful guides who were prepared to help us with anything. We believe they are the number one tour guides in the area and highly recommend them over the others. Hopefully my husband will be able to post some of his fabulous bird shots he captured during our tours with Northern Territory Indigenous Tours when he does his review. Thank you so much Tess and Greg! Love you and hope we see you again in the future.

Our family took 3 outstanding tours with Tess and Greg. Fog dam bird tour was outstanding, the forest walk was lovely, the wetlands were beautiful and the birds were all over, perfect! Then the Darwin tour was so great, we hit billabongs, Darwin Botanical Gardens, WW2 sites, coastal reserves and ended at the indigenous museum, wonderful day. Then the Lichfield Park cultural tour was the most in depth authentic discussion we had about indigenous lifestyle, land management and modern challenges facing indigenous peoples. OUTSTANDING!!

Tess and Greg tailored our experience to meet the expectations and needs for each one in the group. The day was well structured, and not at all rushed. We thoroughly enjoyed Tess’ recollections and family connections to Country. And - we were treated to a delicious lunch, in a truly beautiful location!

A Very Special Day
Such great people - Tess and Greg. They went out of their way to bring this excursion to life. Their knowledge of the areas we went to and their ability to respond to our questions made this a truly wonderful day. Lisa Kendall

Tess and Greg were very generous in the knowledge and experience they shared with us.Lunch was delicious especially the crocodile meat. Swimming in the creek away from the crowds was very special, cool clear water and no crocs!. Small group of interested travellers. Absolutely recommend

Strongly recommend this tour to anyone seeking a very authentic and unique experience. Tess and Greg really made it a very special day. We had been to Darwin once before and were so impressed by the Tour that we decided to do it again, expecting the same trip, so we were pleasantly surprised when offered the alternative off road experience. Tess and Greg are passionate about their work and obviously have in depth knowledge about their environment. Very down to earth and easy to share the day with. Tess is very happy to share her cultural knowledge and Greg did an excellent job at on and off road safe driving. A very enjoyable lunch was followed by an extended trip through creeks and culverts. A must do if you get the chance
Thanks Tess and Greg

I've been on many tours within Australia and internationally and this tour with Tess and Greg was by far the most memorable tour experience I've had.
There were so many different types of knowledge that they shared as tour guides. I had particularly picked this tour as they are the only indigenous operate tour group at Litchfield. It was a privilege to have Tess share about country and her mob. People may not also realise that Tess and Greg have many years as park rangers across the Top End and also provided an in depth but accessible education on political nuance, park operation, history and Darwin/the Top End as a whole.
The tour groups are also smaller than for many other tour operators and it's an intimate and personalised experience. There were only four of us and we had a lot of input into what the day looked like.

What a great way to learn about Tess' Country and hear her personal insights about the area. We were looked after well and enjoyed a relaxing lunch. Highly recommend this comfortable, small group experience.

Hi both, would it be possible to send me the few pictures of our trip we had in September (of us in particular)? If my mail address got lost. I am happy to provide it again. Thank you!

hi we are thinking of being there at the beginning of December. I have read that it is the rainy season though. Should we reconsider this tour for that time of year?
