Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I participated in this trip as an excursion through our cruise ship.
It was an absolutely wonderful way to spend the day. Not only was the scenery beautiful, but Tess and Greg are both passionate about what they are showing you. That is reflected in their vast knowledge and sharing of it with their guests.
The waterfalls were my personal favorite, as they inspire such a sense of peace. But her lunch was delicious, and the rest of the tour was also very good. Cooling off in the water with a quick swim at the end was also a part not to be missed! I would definitely recommend this pair as tour guides.

First of all, the tour was very nice.
Communication was difficult. Because of Covid the initial tour had to be cancelled. However, we did not get back 70% of refund as promised. In 2023, 2 of us came to Darwin and were participating. In the end, there were difficulties to pay the money back for the 2 that did not join. We were finally fine with spending the double amount (as prices had doubled anyhow)… both promised us to send us some pictures they have taken (also of us) during the trip, but that never happened (although I was kindly asking - no response). Moreover, we forgot our swim shorts and towels in the car and asked whether and where we may pick that up the next days - also there no response (even a ‚we are out of town‘ would have been nice…)

We visited Litchfield NP and were impressed by the diversity of the landscape: dry areas with shrubs, thorny bushes, termite cathedrals and moist areas with streams, pools, waterfalls and a lush forest. While we cooled off in a clear stream, Tess prepared lunch: grilled barramundi, salad, bread, cheese, fruit, cool drinks. A gourmet meal! But best of all was Tess herself. We learned so much about the aboriginal people, their way of life, her family.
We recommend this tour to those who want more than just sightseeing.

Tess and Greg were the best tour guides we have ever had, and we have traveled many places in the world. They quickly assessed our group and it’s needs and adapted their tour to fit the needs of each individual. We had a person with physical limitations, a person who is a enthusiastic bird photographer, a biologist and a young eleven year old experiencing birding for first time. We could have not had a better experience visiting Darwin. We saw more than we anticipated and with thoughtful guides who were prepared to help us with anything. We believe they are the number one tour guides in the area and highly recommend them over the others. Hopefully my husband will be able to post some of his fabulous bird shots he captured during our tours with Northern Territory Indigenous Tours when he does his review. Thank you so much Tess and Greg! Love you and hope we see you again in the future.

Our family took 3 outstanding tours with Tess and Greg. Fog dam bird tour was outstanding, the forest walk was lovely, the wetlands were beautiful and the birds were all over, perfect! Then the Darwin tour was so great, we hit billabongs, Darwin Botanical Gardens, WW2 sites, coastal reserves and ended at the indigenous museum, wonderful day. Then the Lichfield Park cultural tour was the most in depth authentic discussion we had about indigenous lifestyle, land management and modern challenges facing indigenous peoples. OUTSTANDING!!

Tess and Greg tailored our experience to meet the expectations and needs for each one in the group. The day was well structured, and not at all rushed. We thoroughly enjoyed Tess’ recollections and family connections to Country. And - we were treated to a delicious lunch, in a truly beautiful location!

A Very Special Day
Such great people - Tess and Greg. They went out of their way to bring this excursion to life. Their knowledge of the areas we went to and their ability to respond to our questions made this a truly wonderful day. Lisa Kendall

Strongly recommend this tour to anyone seeking a very authentic and unique experience. Tess and Greg really made it a very special day. We had been to Darwin once before and were so impressed by the Tour that we decided to do it again, expecting the same trip, so we were pleasantly surprised when offered the alternative off road experience. Tess and Greg are passionate about their work and obviously have in depth knowledge about their environment. Very down to earth and easy to share the day with. Tess is very happy to share her cultural knowledge and Greg did an excellent job at on and off road safe driving. A very enjoyable lunch was followed by an extended trip through creeks and culverts. A must do if you get the chance
Thanks Tess and Greg
