Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Rough seas, many people sick on ferry ride over. Museum was excellent. Art gallery was closed. Locals friendly. A couple of place to grab lunch. Small community. Supermarket. Great weather. Ferry ride back was smooth.

Cathryn and Shannon were very hospitable, well informed and professional guides. I would highly recommend this tour to others. Look forward to seeing them again on my next trip to Darwin

This tour was a trip down memory lane and it was great! It's been a long time since we lived Darwin, and there were so many things we wanted to see, and we got to see them all, even the house I grew up in and beautiful East Point, which is just as I remember it. Catherine was very patient and an excellent guide, very knowledgeble about Darwin, warm, and caring. We had a lot of fun. Highlights for me were the amazing artworks that have popped up in Darwin city, the Warm museum at East Point, and the virtual reality tour o fthe bombing of Darwin - amazing. Have recommended this tour to several friends since we got back. Thanks, it was a great day :-)

I’m not usually one to write reviews but this was definitely the highlight of our Darwin holiday.
I’d never been to ‘The Territory’ and without having our little tour we definitely wouldn’t have experienced half of the things we did. The kiddies still won’t stop talking about it and think we should live in the land of endless summer. If only! The only thing I wish is that we could have stayed longer to see even more! Thank you for the memories, we hope to visit again someday.

I usually don’t go out of my way to write reviews but this was truely the highlight of my Darwin visit. Seeing ‘The Territory’ with locals tips made me appreciate this small slice of tropical paradise even more. Can’t recommend highly enough. Thanks again for everything Cathryn I hope I can come back to visit again!

As I'm a regular visitor to Darwin, I thought it was time for me to do a tour. Friends I was staying with recommended I give Darwin Private Tours a go. It was excellent - I learned more in 4 hours than I have in 4 years of visiting. Cathryn is a top guide, knowledgeable and friendly, and clearly knows all the little backlanes and secrets of Darwin. I particularly enjoyed the tour around the suburbs, looking at all the different houses. And finishing at the wharf for lunch.... fantastic street food, as good as any you would find in Asia. Highly recommended.

What a fantastic way to see Darwin! I lived here in my youth and wanted to show my old stomping ground to my family, I thought I knew it pretty well but Kathrine was so incite-full She made me fall in love with this city all over again, showing me places I had no idea existed!

We decided to book this tour as we had only 2 days left of our trip and still so much to see, this tour was perfect as Kathryn was very flexible and tailor-made our trip to suit our interest and lucky for us travelling with two kids under two she was very considerate to our need for regular nappy changes, snack breaks, avoiding the heat of the day and the kids loved her warmth and welcoming nature! This is what makes this tour so special, it's private and personal making you see Darwin through a locals perspective rather than as a tourist. Katherine has a deep respect for the land and its people and shared some beautiful knowledge that will stay in my heart forever.

My biggest regret of our Darwin trip was that we didn’t do this tour at the start because Kathrine showed us so many spots we wanted to return to but with our trip over we now HAVE to come back for more! Loved the 2hr walking tour, pictures don’t do it justice so you’ll have to just let Katherine show you around!

After the walking tour, we went for the city highlight's tour, where Katherine shared some of Darwin’s heritage sights and breathtakingly insta-gramable locations. I won’t give more away as I think this was my fav part of the day and highly recommend having Katherine in the car with you (we asked her to jump in our care) as we had so many wildlife and cultural questions we could just bounce questions off her and she had all the answers!

Thank you for your time, Katherine, we all had such a wonderful day exploring Darwin with you. I now have new favourite spots to come back to next time were in the top end!

Thanks so much Anouchka, it was simply delightful showing you and your lovely family around, and I'm so glad it made you "fall in love with this city all over again". I hope we see you again sometime soon! All the best, Cathryn, Darwin Private Tours.
