Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our three teenage boys loved the Big Buoy Water Park. After a great safety induction, they had a blast testing their nerve and jumping from every vantage point they could. Great way to enjoy the only 'safe' beach in Darwin! They loved it so much they backed it up with a second session.

I didn't have the energy, but the pre teens loved it. Safety brief was done well, and off they went!

Great fun for all ages. Highly recommend it. Thought it was extremely good value too and the manager/owner was very safety conscious without going overboard.

We took 5 girls here for a birthday and they ended up having a lot of fun here, however the operator is not punctual at all.
We had booked the early 10am session as it would be slightly cooler and fitted in with what we had planned for the birthday. We had previously been told the operator often cancelled, or rescheduled; sure enough at 10:05am when we were already there waiting we get a text advising the 10am won't be until 11am. The text said we could wait until 11am or get a refund if it didn't suit - at 10:05 it's too late to get a text advising of the cancellation and is poor form!
We decided to wait until the 11am session after calling the kids parents and the next birthday appointment advising them of the unforeseen delay. There was no apology, acknowledgement or reason for the cancellation of the earlier session by the operator when he arrived. The other issue is that then there were twice as many people as the 10am session.
While the girls really did have a great time, if booking this you might just need to consider it might be delayed..

since the waters are so warm around darwin you cannot swim in the salt water, with salt water crocs and jelly fish and sting rays and stone fish they designed this massive protected area for all ages to play at the beach. life guards. on duty all the time.

We walked in at 4.15pm yesterday afternoon, the operator JB had just put away all of the hire gear for the day, but happily got everything back out for our family of 6 to jump in. Life jackets & a safety brief were provided before we got in.

It was a blast! All of the family took turns being launched off of the "pillow" and had great fun playing on the other inflatables.

It is really the only safe place in Darwin to swim in the ocean without the chance of being eaten or bitten. The water was really warm to swim in, be prepared to hold your nose on the steep slide!

Our boys had a great time doing this for an hour and were busted by the time they were finished.
At $6.50 per hour with a good count of people doing it at the same time was awesome.

Our 15 & 16 year old teenagers had a great time.
It is privately run so it costs you $16.50 per hour.
Our kids went back the next day to do it all again.

We spent a lazy Sunday arvo at the recreation lagoon adjacent to Darwin Waterfront. The Big Buoy blow-up water park was a great relief from the warm day. Our 12yo nephew loved it. It’s available by the hour for $16.50 and sessions start on the hour. It needed a bit of strength to get up to the top and platform on the rope climb. I’m sure the nephew will sleep tonight! Life jackets and safety induction included. Highly recommended.

The water front is my son's favorite place. A swim in the wave pool, 1 hour on the Big Buoy then lunch at Fiddlers Green. I tried it once, but struggled to get on. You have to be fit! My son loves it and I can swim around the lagoon and keep an eye on him.
