About
In the murky waters of the Adelaide River, lives the most dangerous reptile in Northern Australia. The huge saltwater jumping crocodiles are the stars of this fascinating 1 hour cruise, which excites, entertains and educates. Crocodiles can be seen caged anywhere, but this may be your only chance to see the Famous Jumping Crocodiles 'in Action in the Wild'. Perched high above the dangers of the crocodiles is a feast of birdlife – white belly sea eagles, magpie, geese, brolgas, spritely dollar birds and hawks (known as kites in the NT). Kingfishers and corellas gather in flocks of hundreds on the marshy floodplains beside the river. Wild pigs and buffalo are often sighted darting in and out of the tall grasses along the river banks.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Absolutely awesome
I have been on this tour several times, the first in 1988 3 years into operation, I am dearly hoping the tour I was on for the last day trading for 2023 is not the final one for the Adelaide River Queen. Sad news it will be to see such an amazing iconic tour for the NT shut down.

I’m from the UK so don’t get many crocs back home. What an experience, the boat was clean and the view sensational. The guy knew his stuff, very knowledgeable and funny. Would definitely do it again if I come back for another visit

Very informative mixed with humor. Great experience especially for the kids. Really helped get the message to the kids about staying away from creeks and water holes in the top end.

During the hour long cruise we got to see plenty of crocodiles up close and to watch them have a feed was like wow. The tour guide was excellent she was humourous which would be great for people who could be a bit nervous and she knew about the area the crocodiles and their habits very well

Would 100% recommend this cruise - our family loved it. Our guide gave a great show, and gave us lots of interesting info without talking overly much. It was clear that he really cared for the animals as well. Would definitely do the cruise again. There were plenty of shared photo opportunities, and this was even encouraged which was refreshing.

Tamara was fantastic and very entertaining. My husband and I along with our two children (3 & 10 months) had a great time and saw 4 crocs!!!! Including a little baby one. Such a great experience. Thank you.

Really excellent. Our guide Steve was friendly and knowledgeable with good banter, that didn't feel like he was just going through the motions (which so many tour guides do). We have more than our allotted (paid) time, although it was end of season so fairly quiet. Saw lots of crocs, saw jumping, all the boxes ticked. Great value for money.
