Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We took a flight to Uluru and KataTjuta with Travis as our pilot. He made me, as a first time flyer in a small plane, at ease. He was young but experienced with 400 hrs of flight time. He gave us a great summary of the area and the flight was surprisingly smooth despite the heat. We would recommend taking the opportunity to fly to see this unique environment and monolithic features.

Flying with these guys was probably the best decision we made on our trip.
Besides cutting down from a long drive to a couple of 30 minute flights, it was a great way to see and appreciate the sights and landscapes of central Australia.
We left just before dawn (given we were keen to do the King's Canyon rim walk which closes off early in the morning after it gets too hot). This was probably one of the best times to see everything from the air - we could really appreciate the shifting colours in the landscape as the sun slowly rose, as we soared peacefully to our destination.
After landing near the canyon, our guide (/ pilot / base manager) took us to and led us along the walk. She showed us a few good (+ safe) spots for pics along the canyon, and gave us some insight into the local flora and fauna.
The day didn't feel rushed either as we had the day at King's Canyon to spend how we like.
In the afternoon we decided to do a quad bike tour at a nearby outback station (optional activity). I highly recommend this for the more adventurous of you - it was a great way to experience firsthand the outback and see vastness of the ranges, without needing to trek on foot. We got taken to some of the remotest parts of the station, with magnificent views of the valley.
The quad bikes themselves were pretty easy to use and felt stable. At the same time, there was also ample opportunity for some fun on bendy tracks and open straights.
The flight back was relaxing, and our guide/pilot even flew us over some landmarks (like the pristine salt lakes and contrasting clay pans) - which gave us an opportunity to take some nice photos along the way.
Overall, my friends and I (four of us in total) had a great day - we got to do everything we wanted to, and take things at our own pace. Between the time saved, seeing sights from the air, and having flexible timing, the cost was well worth what we were getting (especially compared with some other scenic only flights offered in the same area).
Highly recommended!
