Anzac Hill
About
Anzac Hill is the most visited landmark in Alice Springs. An ideal spot for a lookout over the town and the surrounding ranges, particularly beautiful at sunrise or sunset. The Anzac Hill memorial was unveiled on 25 April 1934 and is now dedicated to all those who have served in the defence of their country during all wars in which Australia has participated.

Great View and Anzacs Informastion Memorials
Fantastic view of Alice from Anzac Hill - was very windy when we were there but still amazing. The history of Australias military including Anzacs was great. Thought the display driving up and down the hill was very well done:)

    Excellent views
Narrow road up to lookout, bigger parking area for vans in second parking area. Short walk by stairs or road up to lookout. Fantastic views over Alice Springs. Informative signage and lovely display. We also came back in the evening to witness a stunning sunset.

    Great views
Great place to first and foremost pay respect for those who have served with our best in mind. A distant second reason is to come up the hill and enjoy the view. Unfortunately, I missed both the sunrise and sunset.

Well worth getting up early, and making the 5 min drive. No walking involved but it is an option. The sunrise was beautiful

We opted to walk up the path to the attraction which was manageable but in the heat of the day. In hindsight we should have persevered in finding the car park entry which is another street. The view was good and plenty of enlightening information signage about historical events. Car park entry is recommended, as from there it is only a short walk.

Great place to get an overview visually of the town of Alice Springs. Very informative signs about the many theatres of war.

Worth the drive up for the great view all around.
Take the time to read about some of the wars that have plagued the world & remember those that fought for our freedom today.

a good vantage point accessible by foot (20 min) or car (3 min) from alice springs downtown. it gives you a panoramic view of the surrounding towns and mcdonnell ranges

despite news report and bad rep of alice springs, didnt see any signs of chaos or local disturbance at the time of visit (Aug 2023).

Worth a walk up and look around the elevated view of Alice Springs. Read about the creation of the township and feel the pride of the sacrifice Aussie diggers made under the nations flag. The memorial outlines some of the most significant battles australian soldiers endured such as Long Tan, Fromelles and the Kokoda trail.

It doesn't take a long time to check out this memorial site recognising the service history of Australian Services personnel. Well worth a visit.
