When in Alice you must visit. The centre is not big but it is packed with all the Outback reptiles you never want to bump into in the wild. Rex is the most knowledgeable (and probably most bitten) reptile expert in the area. Holding the olive python was the highlight for me. Don't miss when in Alice.

The idea of visiting a reptile centre during our busy holiday schedule did not appeal to us but as it was part of our "A Town Like Alice" tour we went along and we were very glad we did. The main guy (unfortunately we can't remember his name), who gave a talk and demonstration about snakes, lizards and crocodiles was... More

If you want to learn about the reptiles of Australia - and more importantly if you want to learn how to not get bitten by the reptiles of Australia, then this is the place to visit. You learn so much from true experts.

The Alice Springs Reptile Centre is a fantastic place to check out all sorts of reptiles, big ones, small ones, ones as big as your head, and I do have a giant head! My wife joined our drive around Australia just about a week before and this was her first controlled reptile encounter in country and she was apprehensive at... More

Wonderful, knowledgable staff, the girl especially who gave a talk with the reptiles letting us handle a bearded dragon, blue tongued lizard and my favourite Shae (I hope I'm spelling this right!) a beautiful olive snake. Lots to see and learn about for those who don't know much about reptiles!

We arrived Alice Springs in morning and had whole day to spend in the little town! So, paid a visit to the reptile center. You get to see tons of amazing big and small reptiles, some of which you might not have seen before! You can have photos with few. There are some guides inside which give you information about... So many creatures that we've never seen. The Reptile Centre rescues snakes, geckos and other reptiles as well as raising them in the centre. Krista was an excellent, enthusiastic, passionate presenter and allowed us to hold the reptiles. We had a great time!

I visited here as part of the A town Like Alice Tour. Very interesting talk and demonstration but I am terrified of snakes and had to leave the room during the talk! Outside there are some lizards and monitors, and "Terry" the saltwater crocodile in his pool. I learned more about Australian snakes than I'd ever known and how to... More
