a little pricey
Nov. 2020
This place is definitely worth a visit but only requires an hour of your time for the amount of animals and this included two talks. Definitely time it for the talks. Also needed to book despite a lack of tourists at the moment. A little pricey and disappointing that they only open one day a week at the moment....

Thank you for your review Clare, we are a small centre but we do pride ourselves on our wonderful educational talks and hands on experience with the reptiles which you can't get anywhere else in Alice Springs, and we are so glad you enjoyed these talks. Thank you for cooperating with our new booking system as well, it is a new rule that we have for the current pandemic situation to protect our visitors and our staff, it is a way that we can regulate how many people are in the building at any one time as per Government health restrictions. We are only open Saturdays, as sadly Alice Springs is a bit of a Ghost town during the summer months and the lack of tourism has impacted our business greatly, therefore 1 day a week is affordable at this stage; we will be changing this of course as the country opens up and allows more interstate travel. Thank you again for the review, we hope you revisit once the centre reopens 7 days a week with all of our upgrades completed.

Good little spot but a bit run down. Few enclosures empty and we had to book to get in. Prob a few dollars more than I would of expected given the age and animals on display

Thank you for the review Donna. We are mostly closed at the moment due to the COVID-19 effects on tourism in Central Australia, so a few of our enclosures are under renovation during this down time. We are also getting new animals to fill these empty enclosures for when we have our grand reopening. We do apologise for the new booking rules; under Government Health rules we are only allowed a certain amount of people in the building at one time and therefore having our visitors book is an easy way for us to keep the numbers within the limits. Hopefully you will be able to visit again post-COVID and be able to see the Reptile Centre at its full glory once we have finished all of our adjustments and are back up and running as normal. Thank you again for your helpful review.

was lucky enough to experience this place via a live Twitch stream courtesy of ol' mate Shook (Jesse).. The guide (Jess) was extremely knowledgeable and informative. Rex and his antics with the croc were especially hilarious...will definitely be booking a trip to Alice when the travel restrictions ease...well done Shook, and really well done to you all at the Reptile Park. 10 out of 10

Awesome day out
Sep. 2020
The variety of snakes and lizards they showed and explained about was amazing. I had an hour tour of all the indoor reptiles with an informative guide showing me around. I held a 3 meter Olive Python. Then we went outside to see larger lizards in enclosures and the pinnacle of the tour a massive salt water crocodile. It was an amazing day out that I would recommend to anyone who visits Alice Springs. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

Worth a visit!
Aug. 2019
I was surprised and impressed by this tour: although the place didn't look like much from the outside, it had a surprising amount of reptiles to see (some in cases, but many outside in large habitats). The tour was incredibly informative and I really learned to be (respectfully) less fearful of the creatures in the Outback. I think this was my favorite thing we did on our day tour of Alice Springs.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We do have a lot of reptiles in our small centre; we are the largest reptile display in the Northern Territory. We are so glad you appreciated our educational shows and we hope you come back in and say Hi the next time you visit Alice Springs.
