Pyndan Camel Tracks offered a great experience riding camels. Flynn picked us up from the hotel. He was friendly and shared his great knowledge about camels, answering our questions. The ride is gentle, meandering through local terrain.

What an amazing experience the sunset camel ride was. Beautiful, calm camels to safely carry you around the station surrounded by the beautiful MacDonnell Ranges. Kate our cameleer was fantastic. Checking on everyone to see how they were going during the ride and telling us a bit about the camels and the land whilst letting us enjoy the peace and plodding in the sunset. Thankyou Good Boy, you're a legend 🐪
Highly recommend

Lovely people, lovely camels. The camels seem to be very well looked after. I only wish it ran slightly later so we could actually see the sunset (it was setting as we were getting driven home). I also wish we had a little more time with our camel- only had time for one quick photo when we got off at the end before they were put back in their pens. I also wish the tour was a little more informative, especially about the camels ie - where these ones came from etc. we kind of just arrived and then got put on the camel and went. I did find the trail itself though quite nice and very peaceful (except for one of the kids who wouldn’t shut up). The camels were all very lovely and well behaved. Great way to end the day.

So glad you enjoyed the peace out on tour. That's the special gift that we share with our visitors rather than announcing facts while you are riding with your camel, experiencing the sound of its feet and its breath, in and out, under you. Thanks for all your tips that we'll discuss during our next staff meeting.

It was a hot windy day which set the perfect scene for camel riding in the desert! Lol
Our ride was at 2.30pm and we had a fabulous time riding some very placid camels. The guide was very thorough in checking everyone was having a good time.
There are plenty of photo opportunities with the camels. Pixie and Saleh Mohamed certainly enjoyed some attention and a head scratch.
Would definitely recommend and we loved our experience.

Thanks for your positive review highlighting our calm camels, experienced guides and great photo opportunities. The wind in September lets us know that it's bringing the warm weather in summer. Local Aboriginal people signify that time of year as a specific season, which is translated as 'the windy season'. Thanks for giving Pixie and Saleh special attention! Don't they love it.

I did the sunset camel tour on Sunday 1st Feb and have to say I was pretty nervous. I arrived early and was entertained by the young apprentice MALCOLM who was so passionate and knowledgeable about the camels and was very clear he loves them - which was great!! The camels were very friendly, well trained and Pixie was the camel I got to ride. Marcus drove us all home at the end and overall I enjoyed the tour very much, and will definitely do it again before I leave Alice. All the best Malcolm with your apprenticeship/course, you'll be a fantastic tour guide whatever you end up doing.

Despite it being the most expensive activity we had to fork out for when in Alice Springs (I'm a uni student , so 60 dollars seems like a lot) it was definitely worth it . I did the sunset tour on a camel named Saleh, who was literally the most gorgeous camel I've ever seen. Brilliant for photos and looking at the McDonald ranges , I would recommend this activity , just so you can say you 'rode a camel in the Australian outback'. My boyfriend isn't a fan of camels (after a bad experience on a horse) but he was swayed by our camel by the end of it. It was a bit scary going up and coming down , but the staff know what there doing and were great with the kids that were on the tour. They also offer hotel pick up for free , which I recommend since it's out in the sticks.

I went for the one hour camel ride tour with a couple of friends and was very pleased with the tour guide, Damon. He was both knowledgeable and skilled with the camels and I felt very much at ease during the tour. We were a bit spoiled by finding ourselves on the lead and second camel so closer to Damon that we could pepper him with questions that he was only too glad to answer, telling us no question is a stupid question. The pace was enjoyable, the view of the MacDonnell range was amazing, and the price was very reasonable. I can't wait to take my daughter camel riding when she comes to visit Australia this summer. Thanks again Pyndan Camel Tracks!

Decided to do the sunset camel ride on our first day in Alice Springs. The hour long ride through the desert amongst the stunning McDonnell ranges was very relaxing and enjoyable. We saw lots of kangaroos and also wild budgies which was really cool.Camels were lovely and well behaved.Ben the young man in charge was good company,he took beautiful photos of us halfway through the ride. After the ride we had a cool drink at the homestead. It was such a pleasant afternoon chatting to Ben and owner(sorry forgot his name)and so peaceful.I might add that my Mum who is 84 did not go on the camel ride but they still picked her up from our accomodation and let her wait there while I did ride.I really appreciated it and my Mum enjoyed chatting to owner.Just super nice people.Thank you for a really enjoyable afternoon. We loved it.

We enjoyed our camel ride despite the summer heat. The staff transported us to and from our hotel and were very friendly and hospitable. They provided complementary refreshments after the ride which were a pleasant surprise. They also took our pictures on top of the camels half way through the ride. The camels were gentle, and the sunset scenery was beautiful. I would definitely recommend the sunset ride starting at 6 pm if visiting during the summer months.
