We booked a 3 day, 2 night Urlu excursion from and with return to Alice Springs. The trip was exactly as described on-line. We had a full tour of 20 people from all over the world, but even with that it was exceptional. Our guide, tour bus driver, historian and companion did an awesome job for the full three days including ‘entertaining’ us with a bevy of ‘dad’ jokes and puns. In spite of that, and many of us helping out, it was a great tour. We did have a large temperate change from 11dC (45dF) to 22dC (75dF). The sunset and sunrise over Urulu were photogenic and ‘glorious’ as well described in the guide. Communications with us as we planned and traveled from the US to Australia, were exception and comprehensive. I would only state, no need to take a swimsuit, you can’t swim in Kings Canyon and the Kings Canyon walk requires 3L of water per person (thankfully they provided much needed water bottles for us to kill on site). The sleeping arrangements were adequate and what we expected. Both nights were in tents in prepared locations, the first with and the 2nd night without electricity. Neither had heat, but there was plenty of blankets and a nice fire each night. The Garden of Eden in Kings Canyon was exception and worth the 6km hike and carrying 6L of water (for both of us). But, be prepared for (1) nearly 1500 KMs of bus travel and (2) to lend a hand with meals. Our travel companions all pitched in and made the entire adventure more enjoyable.

Fabulous trip from start to finish which included nibbles and drinks whilst capturing an amazing sunset, lovely meal with our fellow travellers getting to know people from other countries and listen to their life experiences. Early start the next day enabled us all to be on the walk around Uluru before sunrise, pausing to watch the spectacular colour changes as the sun rose, wonderful walk 8.5km round to meet up with tour guide Joey, fruit snacks n drinks , then last part with Joey and Simon explaining how some rock formations are relevant to the stories they were allowed to share with us. Joey was extremely knowledgeable and both guys were helpful ,interesting and courteous.

Went on the Darwin, Kakadu, Litchfield and Katherine adventure tour in late April- May 2021 with tour guide; Eddie.
He is full of knowledge & has some of the BEST stories. You never have to ask what something is or what the plans are because he is one step ahead of everyone. I’m walking away with so much more then I expected & it’s all thanks to Eddie.
Outback tour services is extremely lucky to have a guide like him.

We went on a 4-day tour to Uluru, Kings Canyon and West MacDonnell Ranges and it was so much fun. Meg our tour guide was very knowledgeable and accommodating. She kept the tour entertained and interesting throughout. Can't get better than that. Matt was the host who warmly welcomed us at both campsites and prepared delicious meals. Everything is well organized and professionally handled. Best way to enjoy this part of the world if you are visiting. Small group tours also bring people from different parts of the world together.

Best way to visit the Centre by yourself - go with a group and knowledgeable tour guides. Had a nice mix of ages and nationalities. Felt safe and informed at all times. We were told about the next day's plans by Matt & Meg so were able to plan ahead for the conditions. While there were a couple of long days of driving, they were good opportunities to rest and switch off in between stops and activities. Matt and Meg are both extremely competent and were generous with their availability to the group. Highly recommended! I might even do this one again myself.

If you're thinking about going to Australia, you have to do this trip! You've never really been to Oz unless you've been to the Outback! Not only does this tour take you to the iconic Uluru, but it also gives you the experience to enjoy lesser known wonders like the Olgas and King's Canyon!

From the pickup to the drop off, the experience was seamless, thanks to the amazing guide we had, Olivia and her camp manager, Laura! Now, this tour involves quite a bit of driving so I would highly suggest bringing your headphones and jam to your favorite music while looking out to this unique landscape. Be prepared to buy a fly net or two, and stock up on water, as it gets VERY hot out there!

Because you can read the itinerary from the overview or from other reviews, I won't delve into that in detail. But instead, my suggestion would be to fully immerse yourself with this experience: enjoy the walks (despite the heat), enjoy the views, enjoy the company(talk to your fellow tour mates), and best of all, enjoy the moments!

Shout out to our great guides Olivia and Lorde, err Laura for making this trip an absolute amazing experience!!

We were happy we chose Outback Tour Services for a 3 day trip to Uluru and Kings Canyon and we were lucky enough to get Christy as our tour guide and Laura as our hostess. They were both great and very accommodating to our varied age group. We thank them both for a wonderful time and highly recommend OTS.

Sadly the cloud cover meant that we didn’t get the amazing view of Uluru that had hoped for. Big disappointment, but it is the luck of the draw weather wise. We did enjoy the walk at Kings Canyon though! Was really hard getting up at 4am as we’d been to the sunset the evening before.

We thoroughly researched our options when booking this tour and we are glad that we did. OTS (who run tours for Intrepid and Emu Run Experience) were nothing short of fantastic end to end from Audrey and Luke answering our pressing questions ahead of our trip to the legendary guide Kieran who made this trip a wonderful memory for us.

The transport was excellent with an air conditioned bus which was spacious as we had around 11 on our group. It was a mixture of ages from couples celebrating their 35th anniversary, to a family from France and travellers between 25-35.

The camp experience was upgraded for us which meant we had twin share tents (which we’d paid for the upgrade / well worth doing so!) but had beds and linens in good quality tents. The campsites were in good condition on both nights with hot showers and a kitchen.

The walks were fantastic where we started early at sunrise each day and Kieran helped us to understand the spiritual importance of the sites and took us to multiple vantage points to see sunsets and take pictures.

We were vegetarians so we are very pleased we had been catered for. We had a mixture of vegetarian burgers, hot dogs, halloumi, wraps, curries on the tour. Breakfast was also cereal, toast and juice. It was a great experience working together to cook food for our cookouts.

We had a couple of emergencies on tour and they were handled very well by Kieran. My wife had burned her hand significantly when using the BBQ and he had a decent medical aid and had ice and bandages. I also fell ill with sickness on the last day and he had supported with hydration salts and also preparing a site tent in another location for the morning walk so I could rest and recovery before the long journey back to Alice Springs.

Honestly, without Kieran this wouldn’t have been half as fun and were incredibly grateful for him and OTS to make this a memorable experience for us. Thanks once again! We highly recommend this tour for those considering.
