Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The curious wedge-shaped building which sits next to the main gallery spaces of the Wagga Wagga Art Gallery houses the National Art Glass Collection. I understand it is still part of the Wagga Wagga Art Gallery, though it adopted its current name to recognise the collection’s national significance.

It contains a wonderful collection of glass, displayed over two floors in a building which itself is a bit of an architectural triumph, with some contemporary stained-glass units incorporated into design. It houses some 400 pieces of contemporary art glass, beautifully displayed to capture the natural light which pours in, and taking advantage of the curious wedge shape of the building. The lower floor provides a comprehensive history of art glass in Australia. That particular display is informative, and puts the collection into perspective.

I enjoyed my visit; there were some amazing pieces on show. It showcases Australian art glass from the 1960s to the present. At the time of my visit, I got to see an exhibition by Blake Griffiths called ‘Glass Beach’. He has used recycled glass, collected from beaches I believe, to create interesting yet somewhat bizarre human-like figures; it was almost as if these figures were mad out of sausages from a butcher’s shop. It was excellent.

Lovers of art glass will certainly appreciate and enjoy the collection. It's worth a visit.

The building is a work of art on its own. It is two storied with a wedge shape, one side is completely glass, the other of polished metal. The Exhibits are well spaced (Covid distancing?) which makes it easy to appreciate the very interesting and complex exhibits. The glass wall provides abundant natural light which also presents the exhibits beautifully. Some pieces are available for purchase.

The purpose-built light airy contemporary gallery for art glass in Wagga is terrific. You can really appreciate the delicate colours and forms that glass artists strive for, and can appreciate the true artistry. Always something new on display.

There are some stunning pieces of glass at this gallery but it is very small. You will only need 30 minutes or so to view. It’s free which is great and ask to use their lift if stairs are a problem. Once you call an institution” National” I guess you expect a bit more but what is on display is good. I would not go out of my way to visit but if you are in Wagga for a couple of days or need a break on your trip it is worth a visit.

I loved it. The small amount if prefect and the lift is cool. The shop was a little bit expensive and smaller then the exhibition.

Looking at other people's photos, I wonder what's happened since.
There wasn't much on display, and what was displayed was part of a Black and White exhibition.
Not at all the colourful art glass we'd driven 1.5 hours to see.

We were told of this gallery and were fortunate enough to experience the amazing glass displays for ourselves. There are so many beautiful pieces of glasswork that you have to be in awe of the talent that produced them. If you are visiting Wagga this is a must see gallery.

Situated next door to the art gallery this is a really interesting gallery highlighting glass in all its glory. There are some beautiful pieces positioned perfectly to show their colour and complexity. It is only 2 floors so very easy to fit in when you visit Wagga Wagga. Entry is free
