Magic atmosphere and great organisation. We celebrated my partner’ birthday and show created for us the atmosphere and sensation of fairy tale. Thank you!

We enjoyed the experience from A to Z. The setting, old guy and his more than capable assistant helped us relax and enjoy the whole experience. From bubbles to Snack’s that looked wonderful we didn’t try since we just finished dinner. The show itself was amazing and full of surprises. Much history was shared but no secrets revealed. Well worth the price of admission for the cozy (25 or less) audience experience. Would go again in a minute if in town again.

My wife and I had an absolutely great time being mesmerised and baffled by The Gentleman Magician (Bruce) and his stories and magic.
This was our second time seeing the show and whilst I felt many of the illusions were similar or the same as the first time, there were enough new illusions for it to be worth the revisit. It had been about 5 years since we last saw the show so although I could remember some of what was happening I certainly had no idea how it was done or what was going to happen next. In fact most of the detail had “disappeared” from my memory (see what I did there?).
The evening started with sparkling wine and 3 or 4 different canapes and then we were seated for the show. The show went for about 90 minutes but I think it depends on the crowd as to whether the show goes a bit longer or shorter.
We found Bruce to be a wonderful teller of tales as he took us on a journey through early Sydney life and ‘magic’. I had a great time and even though I was determined to look closely and not get distracted I still was baffled and bamboozled by the magic that was before me. To be honest it took me back to my childhood where things were new and amazing and I had no idea how or why things worked the way they did.
My wife enjoyed the show just as much if not more that I did and we both felt it was definitely worth the cost to be taken away into the realm of magic and fun for an all too short period of time. We may even see The Gentleman Magician again one day.
With regards to the venue, The Sir Stamford at Circular Quay, well this is one of Sydneys hidden secrets as far as top hotels go. It has old world charm that takes you way back and the staff are fantastic. We especially love the Bar where we had pre and post show drinks.

A chance sighting of a sign in the street led us to book for this event. We were promised champagne and hors d'oeuvre prior to the show. What we got was commercial bought items and glass of sparking wine... not what I would have expected have expected from a top class hotel. The show itself was mundane and at times boring and frankly we were glad when it ended.

We went along as we like magic and really enjoyed it. Good fun; Bruce entertained us all, ably assisted by Kate. They were great and everyone enjoyed themselves

what an entertaining evening filled with many 'Wow" moments. Thoroughly recommend this great show in a gorgeous old Sydney location.

Scam of a Soiree. Sparkling wine and quiche served were good.Chicken satay(?) was cold and rubbery. Venue was fitting for the theme. I sat for more than an hour watching elementary school tricks and lousy storytelling. I love magic/illusion shows and was looking forward to be blown away but this show was such a let down.I want my money back. I don't even know why this has a 5 star rating.

We went to this show for my boyfriends birthday and we had an excellent time. The show is interactive, engaging and will leave you in awe. The hostess was also great in getting everyone comfortable and mingling. Would recommend as a gift, group outing or date night.

What an exceptional experience. One to remember. Very classy
My partner booked sets at the show as a surprise birthday present, preceded by dinner at the Sir Stamford. Hint hint to others if you are looking for a unique gift for that special occasion- or to make an occasion special!
The historical venue was the perfect backdrop for the show and the storytelling that was such a special part of the show.
A special shout out to Libby, the gentleman Magician's dutiful assistant.
I was fascinated the whole time and enjoyed the interactive parts of the show but b please know there was no pressure to participate.
The show appealed to all ages and it was great to see kids enthralled by the show.
Well Done Bruce and thank you for sharing your craft with us - I'm still trying to work out how you did the tricks!!!!!!
