Neighbourhood: Chinatown
Tiger-flanked archways on Dixon Street mark the entrance to the “little Asia” of Sydney. A walk through Chinatown is a feast for the senses where aromas, tastes, sounds and visions of dancing tigers transport you to a different world. Chinatown visitors can expect a melting pot of Asian food at the neighbourhood's specialty delis and groceries. From yum cha to handmade noodles, BBQ ducks hanging in the window to Asian sweets and bakeries, there is something for all tastes. Paddy’s Markets is the largest flea market in Sydney where you can find souvenirs, clothing, gifts and fruit and vegetables at unbeatable prices. At night, Chinatown comes alive with entertainment including theatre, nightclubs and bars that are open until the early morning.

We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Love this restaurant! Food tastes good and the price is reasonable. There is 5% off for different items everyday. On our visit, entrees has 5% off ( remember to check the bill to ensure the discount was made).
The fried rice sooooo delicious! Highly recommended. Portions of some dishes might be a bit little but it means you can try more dishes.

My wife and I go to Thai Town at least monthly
They have the best Thai Restaurants (Chat Thai, York Yor, Capital Thai, etc) and all the Thai groceries (Mae Cheng, Pontip and Jarern) to cook at home
It’s an easy walk or light rail ride from Central station.

This part of Campbell Street brings the Bangkok street markets to Sydney. A great selection of Thai restaurants as well as Thai grocery outlets for the expats and the cook at home lovers. Easy to navigate and well worth the visit.

Vibrant, appealing to all ages & stages of life. Tastes & Smells ignited my tastes buds. Great energy, food & moments. Busy part of town ... felt safe. Great energy matched by good tasting food. We had multiple allergies & dietary requirements amongst us - from gluten free vegan to happy meat eating carnivores.

A street with lots of Thai food. Also there are shops selling authentic Thai produce as well. The prices were very good and cheap

It looked like the best in the street from the outside, but this didn't convert to a better dining experience. Didn't help by getting an inexperienced waitress either.
The food was acceptable, but the wine list was very limited.
Hmmm, don't think I will choose to go back there on any future trips to Sydney.

My wife and I went here several times during a recent stay in Sydney. We are both fairly discerning Thai foodies as we have lived in Thai land so have sampled the real thing.
The food in Thai Town was very authentic, delicious and great value. The location is also very good in central Sydney (on Campbell St). Staff were very friendly, attentive and brought our food out promptly.
Great spot for great food.
