The Sydney light rail is an easy and reliable way to get to Darling Harbour. The service runs well and on time and the carriages are clean and well maintained. Can get a little crowded during peak times but the trip is not a long...More

Relatively new coaches. I thought they were built by the same company that built the coaches of the tram line in Amsterdam. Not extensive. From our hotel in Darling Harbour, we had to get off at Central Station to connect to the City Link trains...More

This would have to be the worst of all Sydney transport, chronic overcrowding, idiots with backpacks bumping your face and other body parts without saying "Sorry" I now walk from Central to Paddys Matkets. If you wait for the next train it's just gas bad....More

We used this twice during our weekend stay in Sydney. And were happy with both our journeys - clean, comfortable and on time. Its not first class but it gets to your destination in reasonable time and no hassle.

Very slow, very expensive fare, very crowded, and very infrequent, not very useful as it doesn't get close to most of the attractions or shopping apart from Star City casino Not very useful

There's nothing wrong with the service once past Star but in the city area it gets very busy even at off peak times. I guess there must be some logistic reason why there isn't a more frequent service between Star and Central, but at the...More

Travelling from Central to The Star on Sunday afternoon after flying from interstate and the next tram was due in 3 minutes when we arrived. The sign counted down to 1 minute and then several minutes later a tram pulled up and let the passengers...More

On advice from a friend I used the light rail from Sydney airport upto New Castle. This saved hiring a rental car and fighting the jammed city streets of Sydney. 3 hours of relaxed travel and we were there. The train station is at the...More

We used the light rail quite a few times while we were visiting relatives in Sydney. It's essential to get a Opal card for all Sydney transport to "tap on" and "tap off " on all modes of transport to ensure you pay the correct...More

It goes all the way to Dulwich Hill in the western suburbs. There are 23 stops between Central Station and Dulwich Hill.
