This is a kind of tiki bar with a dance floor. There is a prom night "under the sea" vibe on the dance floor, and it got busy on a Saturday night. The monkey head cocktail was unexpected! Cover charge.
I loved so much about this place except for the awful music. My friend and just wanted to dance and have a good night but the music was too crappy. After some negotiating with the DJ they played one or two decent songs but then...More
I have been to Cliff Dive many times in the last few years, it's often a regular place to end the night dancing and always good drinks and music. Unfortunately in the recent year or so I have only ever had the worst experiences here...More
The way I was treated at this venue was absolutely disgraceful. I was driving so I was sober. My friends had just gone inside, I was refused entry and I was not even allowed to explain to my friends what had happened. I felt unsafe...More
Worst experience. Don't go here. Overpriced drinks and bad service. Went to celebrate a friends birthday. Started dancing after 3 drinks. Told they were watching me on the dance floor... creepy. Security kicked me out... wish they had a breath tester. #notintoxicated
Walking down to basement level you know the vibe is different. The decor resembles a hot sweaty night in a tropical Asian inspired bar somewhere on a long ago holiday.
The cocktails are funky and good.
Staff are friendly and the crowd is mixed.
Went to The Cliff Dive ion a Saturday and ended up spending the whole night there. The bar staff are exceptional... extra points to the freshly squeezed apple juice and vodka. Yum!
The music vibe was indie/rock with some newer tunes thrown in to mix...More

We had gone early so not crowded, but believe...More
Went here tonight with friends and left straight away. This place is horrible and the "security" out front are so tacky - playing favorites with "hot girls" they find and let skip the line while they play bully tactics as if they have so much...More
Home of the small bar revolution in Sydney, Darlinghurst has more bars per capita than any other suburb. Themes range from American whiskey bars and 1950’s theme bars to hidden bars requiring secret passwords. Oxford Street is the "Gay Capital" of Australia, where gay and lesbian-friendly venues feature “diva shows” and dancing until the morning. Vintage lovers flock to Crown Street, and small
designer boutiques can be found along Victoria and Bourke Streets. Dining in Darlinghurst is a gastronomic adventure. Food from all over the world is on the menu, from American ribs to tapas, sushi to gelato and every ethnicity in between.
