This is a lovely walk. We took the ferry over to Rose bay from Circular Quay and then followed the foreshore path to Nielsen Park. Its one of the more iconic Sydney walks but its not overly busy, unlike the Bondi to Coogee walk for example. The beach at Nielsen Park is one of the best on harbour side and... More

Rose Bay is such a beautiful, peaceful location full of great views! It's fun for everyone to swim in the amazingly blue water or maybe enjoy a picnic or nice walk! Definately come check it out!

The walk starts at the Bayview Hill Road and continues to Nielsen Park. At a leisurely pace, the walk takes around 90 minutes. Expect moderate difficulty with steps at many locations. Spectacular ocean and Harbour views. On reaching Nielsen Park, public transport, by bus, back to the city , is possible after a 10-15 minute walk, along Coolong Road.

The walk is approached from a residential street and skirts the foreshore of Vaucluse. The scenery is spectacular taking in the Vistas of Rose Bay to the City including the Harbour bridge. The path is not even but it is not difficult to navigate. There is some minor up and down stairs. The biggest obstacle one may confront along the... More

Hubby & I had a lovely relaxing day exploring this walk. We drove to Nielson Park, caught a bus back to Rose Bay. Enjoyed a coffee and snack before starting the walk. Well sign-posted and the new board walk sections are tremendous. Lots of little beaches to stop at and swim in along the way. Lots of photographic spots to... More

This walk is best done from Neilson park to Rose Bay. Catch the bus to the park have a coffee at the kiosk then take the stairs at the end of the beach. The walk winds its way along to Vaucluse to Rose Bay coastline past some jaw dropping houses and private (from the hordes not private in the sense... More

For this park you start from Rose bay and walk all the way to Nielsen Park as a destination. Initially I thought that this walk would start right from Rose Bay wharf but in actual you need to walk around 1-1.5 kms to reach the starting point of this walk. My GPS really confused me so I didn't get to... More

An easy walk although the terrine is uneven. The walk is predominantly on shaded paths. There is a small section where one may get wet feet if the tide is in. The view of Sydney from the path is one of the best in the city. There are small beaches along the way for a swim and refreshments are available... More
