Beautiful beach and adjoining parklands. Busy shopping area with plenty of food choices. Literally walking distance to nearby beaches and Pittwater for on water activities. Good fishing to be had.

Newport is a short walk from the bus stop and shops so it is very convenient. The beach can be dumpy for inexperienced swimmers so be sure to stay inside the flags.

Big carpark, is the only thing I can say here. I only come here when Bilgola use their rockpool for special events.

Newport Beach is situated right near the shopping strip and has plenty of off street parking available. Great for families and couples as well, as there is plenty of space on this wide expanse of beach to spread out. Close to eateries and a supermarket so easy to find lunch/dinner. A pretty, not so crowded, Northern Beaches venue.

I have lived in Newport for three years, about 10 minutes walk from the beach. This is a 'locals' beach and does not have the huge number of daytrippers that some of the other Northern Beaches do. That is why I like it! I love the way the waves break over the stormwater outlet at high tide (see photo).

We were spending most of the day with friends in the Pittwater area of Sydney and spent part of the day at Newport Beach which was pretty quiet as it is Australian winter here right now and it was grey and gloomy. Nice long stretch of beach, clean, surrounding area seems pretty safe, we will have to come back in... More

Early morning is a great time. Quiet. Sandy beach. Blue green ocean. The exposed outdoor pool is a challenge but worth it. Adequate changing facilities and good cafes a short walk away.

Nice and clean beach not very busy so is best for a quiet time. Good scenic views all around and plenty of eating options nearby. Parking is paid though.

Some days you end up exactly where you're supposed to be. Yesterday was that day for us. The moment we saw Newport Beach we knew we were exactly where we're supposed to be. The is uncrowded. The sands are carmel. The rock formations are unrivaled. The wading pools are natural and replenished br the ocean. This is paradise on the... More
