For my wife's 50th we'd booked a wine tour with these guys. What a great decision. We were picked up right on time then taken to some of the smaller but better wineries in the region. One member of the group recommended a different winery to the schedule which was accommodated and great. Personal favourite was Blueberry Hill. Chris the... More

We went on this tour mid week which I think was a blessing as it turned out to be a small and diverse group of interesting folk. Our driver for the day, Derick, was a fifth generation Hunter Valley resident so his knowledge of the history of the area was extensive and interesting. It's more than just a wine tour... More

If your in the Sydney area - a visit to the beautiful Hunter Valley is well worth the trip out - We chose to drive there and stay overnight (there are some tour companies that run overnight trips as well, if you don't won't to drive) this allows you time to enjoy this great setting whilst learning about the full... What a fun experience ! Our driver even offered to take us out again at night to watch the football grand final at the local pub . We had a bad experience the night before and our driver went above and beyond to make up the day for our group of 14 people . Was so much fun, relaxed ,... More

I would really recommend this tour if you've never been to the Hunter and don't want to drive as to enjoy fully the experience of tasting and feasting your eyes on the scenery. An experienced guide picks you up at your CBD accomodation, drives you and provides you with a fully yet casual comment. It's very enjoyable and pleasant. The... More

It was a first time to the Hunter and everyone mentioned to go on a tour with these guys and what an experience. Had a great time, we were with a small group which made it even better! They offered to drop us off to the Hunter Food and Wine Festival, given it was torrential rain - they took us... More

We did the hunter valley wine tour with Active Tours. The driver/guide, Jim, was excellent. He is informative, personable and very funny. He is a very safe driver, which we appreciate. He is the only reason I am not rating this tour a 3. We were taken to three wineries. The first one, Travitine, was good. We had about 10... More

Took the Hunter valley wine tasting tour on easter weekend and it was very nice. Got to taste about 20 different wines in 3different winerys. In the winerys they told us lots about wines, how to taste them correctly, about the families who make the wines and so on. But none of them told us how do they do the... More

We booked this tour with Amazing Tours Sydney on Groupon and it included visits to 5 wineries, plus a chocolate tasting, visit to a British Lolly Shop, a few cheese tastings, and also an olive oil tasting (which was a nice surprise)! Overall the trip was wonderful. We met the large tour bus early in the morning at Central Station... More

Went on a day tour of 4 of the wineries in the valley plus a chocolate shop and cheese shop. Stunning location and superb wines tasted. Definitely recommend.

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
