Good place to go for uncrowded swim

Went here for a swim, is a challenge if you have a disability to get down to, but I did it. Even have lifeguards for safety. Yeah is a good little spot.

We visited Dawn Fraser baths on a boiling hot day. Water was very dirty, a bit like a muddy dam but novel!

Never been here before and on a day where the temperature soared to 38C it was the perfect location. Firstly it is huge was not expecting it to be so big, its salt water lots of lifeguards heaps of shade with seating, toilets with hot showers plus a kiosk with ice cold drinks. There is also a little bit of... More

It is neither pool nor ocean ... Still it is nice pond to swim :) If one have any mobility problems like not being able to climb stairs than avoid. Also the place could be better maintained but this does not prevent loads of people to come here every week and play water polo :)

This pool with its harbour views and tidal pool is absolutely fantastic on a summer day especially at high tide. The pool is large with a floating deck and facilities include hot showers and changing rooms. They also serve a great cappuccino and light snacks. You need to make sure you can easily descend stairs from the park or drive... More

Completed an ocean swim close by to this pool and then went for a swim there. Peaceful and quiet when i was there. Enjoyed the old school facilities.

The bosses favourite harbour training spot, this a is a safe, salty seawater pool in the harbour. Beautiful spot on a hot summers day.

Dawn is clearly respected as a legend in Balmain and this clearly shows that respect. Not many harbour pools left but this is one of the better ones - whilst the surrounds and park are pretty, the pool itself is not grand. It is though more fun swimming in these harbour pools than the standard boring olympic style 50 metre... More

Dawn Frazer and her swimming career is celebrated by this harbouside pool. Well located alongside an established picnic area which affords a vantage point for Sydney Harbour views, this pool is a favourite of local residents as well as local schools. Easy to access either by car, foot or bus from Balmain proper, take a picnic lunch and your camera.
