Visited the Anzac Memorial ahead of Anzac Day....a very moving building. Walked through the park, almost in the heart of the city, with lovely shaded areas with attractive features, such as sculptures and a fountain.

Gardens are kept in tip top condition. Green foliage is nice to see compared to the skyline of Sydney. Anzac memorial is undergoing works currently along with other parts of Hyde Park. Still worth a few pictures.

Time out to appreciate my beautiful surroundings and just 'Being'. Loved my time in Hyde Park amongst these gorgeous trees, shrubs and flowers..in my space, in tranquility, yet, amongst many people. Gorgeous surroundings...both greenery and water features! Shall certainly visit this amazing park again.

These gardens are simply beautiful. The layout is formal. The magestic shrine with the shallow pond, fountains, tree lined walk ways. We could have been anywhere in the world. Simply stunning.

We walked through Hyde Park (South) heading towards College St this evening towards our hotel. It soon became apparent that a few of the locals wanted to come and say hello. You probably shouldn't feed them, but they are very confident, and cute!

Perfect spot to relax sitting on the grass or even take a nap. It is very pretty and green. Great to take a walk and take pictures. The park has its own train station and it is large enough to spend the entire day there. The Anzac memorial looks amazing lighted at night.

Passed through Hyde Park on our way to St. Mary's Cathedral. Relaxed atmosphere. Tourists' favorite spot in this park is the Archibald Fountain. A very nice attraction. Visit this place for a nice stroll.

We walked here from Sydney Harbour. It was a perfect spot to stop and enjoy the shade and rest up a bit before continuing on. There were a few musicians performing so we listened to them for a bit too.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
