We enjoyed a walk across the Domain on our way to the Art Gallery of NSW. They were setting up for a festival so some of it was blocked off.

On the map, it seems that the Domain encompasses the Botanic Garden, and it would be able to flee from this embrace only towards the ocean. Of course, this idea has no basis because of the Botanic Garden part of the Domain, just like the...More

This is a large green space near the city center. It is just across the road from the botanic gardens. It is also near St. Marys on one end and Wooloomolloo on the other end. Lots of joggers and people from Sydney taking a work...More

This park is the site where Mrs. Macquarie's Chair is located; the chair was carved into rock by convicts so she could sit and look at ships arriving from her homeland of England. There are lovely views of Sydney Harbor. It is a restful location.

Join the office workers having their lunch or a quick jog. You may walk through here on the way to the Art Gallery of NSW. It is a large area and has many places to sit and relax.

The Domain is many things to many people. For some it's a buffer between the city and the Art Gallery and on to Potts Point and Woolloomooloo, for others it's somewhere to kick a ball or throw a frisbee in your all too short lunch...More

We walked through this park on our way to the art gallery. It had some benches and pretty flowers and trees in one section. You can also look out over the city.

The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with
energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise

shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners
frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a
dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit
the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle,
reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens
