It may involve a lot of walking but it was enjoyable and very good sea view all the way. There were a lot of things you can enjoy especially which I did not know what are they call.

This was such a lovely walk, just walking along with the harbour and it’s spectacular views of the Sydney Bridge, Opera House and ferries and boats to one side and the lush tropical gardens on the other side. This route was always busy with tourists...More

For almost 60 years I have walked this route and I have celebrated with some pride the cleaning up of Sydney Harbour. From a time when you couldn't see the bottom and it was a hazard to swim in now you can see the harbour...More

This area bordering Sydney Harbor, the Royal Botanical Gardens, and the Opera House is a very beautiful spot, not to be missed.

We got off the ferry and walked this area. The weather was perfect. There were tons of people there but we did not feel the crowds. There are many restaurants and cafes along the pier. The grand area in front of the opera house has...More

Just next to the Opera house there is an entrance to the Botanic Gardens. Check for closing times as you cannot get in after this time, although once in you can get out through a one-way turnstile. A really flat walk you which seems to...More

I took this route as it was the quickest one to Mrs Macquarie’s chair! Nice view and if the weather is nice and sunny, loads of joggers!

We walked from the Opera house through the gardens and stopped of at a local cafe for breakfast. The gardens and the monuments are fantastic, well worth the walk.

If you go on the Opera house web site it will give you all the shows that are currently on. If you are staying in a hotel the reception or concierge will be able to help you.

You should be able to do all that in the morning. There are tours of the opera house you might not have time for if you want to wander around the gardens longer - but they are all right in the same place, so if you have an... More

April in Sydney is Autumn : it's warm but not as hot as in the summer months. Very nice for walking about. Expect daytime temperatures around 20°C (68°F) cooling down at night to 15°C (58°F) .
