Neighbourhood: The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighbourhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.

The Quay is the Four Seasons Hotel's gift shop. It's located next door to the Hotel. We found lovely gifts for everyone. Of all the shops visited, the Quay is definitely on my list to return. The store is packed with anything Australia you want to buy! Seriously, go by and browse. The prices are very competitive.
Compare before buying any place else. The quality, selection, and helpful staff will have you satisfied. Enjoy.

This is pretty good-sized store, attractively laid out, with a great variety of Australian-made items. Although I could not justify springing for the $5,000 opal earrings up the block a little bit, the opal earrings I bought here fit my meager budget and needs perfectly.
Shopping for souvenirs to bring home was fun and pleasant. The owner and staff were very helpful.

Every gift was somehow unique and different. If you want to purchase something out of ordinary, it is the place for you. Only downside, due to too many stealing, the guard was looking over your shoulder all the time. It was a little annoying, but understandable. The pieces worth the price.

After reading your reviews, my husband and I went searching for this gift shop. It wasn't easy to find because of the construction on George Street but I remembered that it is "under the Four Seasons Hotel". The owners were super friendly and helpful. There was a great selection of nicer Australian made souvenirs and the prices were reasonable....in fact one item of the same quality was considerable less than at one of the shops on Pitt Street. We went twice because I didn't find anything nicer anywhere else.

Prices were comparable to other places. It provided a good spot to get last minute souvenirs because they were open in the morning before leaving. Aboriginal and regular Australian souvenirs available.

We loved this shop because it has some very good quality gifts, many of them based on Aboriginal art. We really enjoyed browsing around it, and when we came to buy things the proprietor was helpful and friendly.
