Absolutely awesome! Best history class I have been to (certainly stayed awake the whole way). Well it involves beer and convicts so i would recommend it. I tip my hat off to Gaz, he certainly kept us entertained and well informed about where we were going. Cheerz bro, hope you remember the Todd Carney joke lol

Great Beer & New Friends

This was one of my favorite tours in Sydney! Gaz was awesome, told funny stories and some history too! I really enjoyed learning about the history of not only Sydney but Australia as well! I would definitely do this tour again. We had a small group of us and even hung out after the tour for a couple hours. Would highly recommend if you like beer, like meeting new people and learning history with new friends!

Great if you like history, great if you like beer, amazing if you like both!

We were so incredibly impressed with this tour which 100% in line with all of the 5 star reviews. Coming from the US we knew beer would be different in Australia but this tour was a great way to try local brews that are actually good - no crappy light beers on this tour, but a good taste of Australia's craft brew scene. Surprisingly the beer wasn't even the highlight of the night - the tour is really exceptional. We learned so much about the area, the history, the immigrants, the political dynamics of the region. After this tour we enjoyed our walks around Sydney even more having a new perspective on the neighborhood. In our minds this is the best tour you can do in Sydney.

Interesting walk around The Rocks

Adam provided an interesting historical perspective as we strolled around The Rocks and visited 4 pubs. Followed up with pizza at The Australian Hotel and Pub. The notes were a bit confusing because it didn't say the we several times at different times, but it all worked out well.

It's Not Only About Beer

This was one of our best excursions off of the Viking Orion, cruising out of Sydney. Gary, our guide, was full of interesting stories about the four pubs we visited, which really was an anthropological visit to historic and more current Sydney. The beers were good, but Gary's richness was the real treat here.

Good food, drinks and a history lesson

We had a superb time in this tour. Our guide, Gaz, was very knowledgeable and also had a great sense of humor. This was a fum night! We learned a lot about The Rocks and Sydney's early history. You definitely get a different perspective and we saw some hidden gems. The craft beer selection at each pub is really good and diverse. The pizzas were delicious. We highly recommend this company and this tour!!!

Wonderful, informative, fun and unique

Sydney pub tours incorporates history, locally crafted beer,fun and sight seeing.
I've been to Sydney three times. I've walked the rocks twice. Once with a guide and once with an audio guide.
We learned more in the three or so hours with Gaz and sydney pub tours then we had in prior tours. All that and local ale!
Beautifully run. Organised but friendly. If your are really interested in learning about the origins of sydney look no further. This tour has it all.
Note that we took this on the day we arrived from Seattle. ...it was a wonderful way to begin our the week vacation.

Super Pub Tour

Led excellently by Gazz, the intrepid group of seven foreigners, Brits and Americans, forged their way from pub to pub around The Rocks in Sydney. We were introduced to good Aussie beers and Ales at each of five destinations, and great pizzas were included. Along the way we stopped at tourist hotspots, to be regaled with tales of Sydney's past, told with enthusiasm, knowledge and wit. Highly recommended.

Great beer, amazing history.

Pops and I wanted to experience the pub scene in Sydney and this tour did not disappoint! We expected good beer (and were not let down) but we didn't expect such a knowledgeable guide to paint us a picture of early Sydney and The Rocks in particular. From pale ales to prisoners, the tour was the most interesting and strangely educational night of drinking we've ever had. Did we mention the beers are all top notch? A round of applause to Sydney Pub Tours for putting together such an awesome night for us. We'll be booking another "crawl" if we're ever back in Sydney! Thanks for the one of the coolest memories of our trip!
