Our tour guide, Keegan, met us at our hotel for our tour up to the Blue Mountains including a stop at Featherdale animal park in the early AM. He was a perfect fit for us. He was informative and fun to tour with. The more we spent time together, the more we found commonalities and we shared a similar sense of humor! We ended up making a few unplanned stops including a stop to a reservoir with a playground for the kids and a cafe for amazing coffee and German strudel. The day ended with our youngest proclaiming that Keegan was our newest Australian friend which he does not say lightly. We had a AAA rated tour that we will all remember for years to come.

My husband and I spent the day touring Sydney with our guide, Danny. He did an amazing job! He was knowledgeable, interesting and very personable. Definitely gave us a fabulous overview of this incredible city. We would HIGHLY recommend requesting Danny should you book any tours with this company. You cannot go wrong!

Daniel was an absolute legend. He took us deep into the bush off the beaten path where we saw wild animals, vast landscapes, and great views. The van that Danny drove was like being in a clean rally car. We had the time of our lives!!

A very informative and enjoyable day touring the Blue Mountains. Jonathan was a wealth of knowledge on both regional information as well as Australian culture and history. On top of this he was a very safe driver and considerate host.

Beautiful, stunning views with some walking through the mountains. Our tour leader was the best! She knew A LOT and she was super cool. I can't remember her name tough ;(. I do remember she was gonna get married with her boyfriend, who was from London!.

My husband and I absolutely thought our tour with Essey to the Blue Mountains was worth every penny. Having Essey pick us up from our hotel in Sydney and "entertain" and inform us for the drive out to the Blue Mountains was exceptional. Having a completely different experience from the sights in the City of Sydney was the icing on the cake to our total trip. We loved seeing the "Three Sisters" and the excursion (small extra charge) to Scenic World was so thrilling. Essey really made the day fun and she was full of many facts about the area, which only enhanced the experience. Honestly, Featherdale was not my favorite part of the tour, but my opinion may have been a bit skewed as we had visited the Currumbin Animal Sanctuary while on the Gold Coast, which was outstanding. I could see how many would enjoy this part of the tour to see Koalas and pet a Wallaby, so please don't be deterred by this comment. The tour was outstanding and I would do it all over again if I had the chance. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Essey and Runaway Tours for an amazing experience. G'day, Mate!

I was very impressed that Runaway Tour was consistently responsive to all of my inquiries right from begining to after I made booking with them. Mandy and Steve had been very helpful all along. Jim managed our schedule very well during the day of tour. We were able to enjoy our wine tasting as well as other activities in a relaxing pace.

I wish there was a rating higher than Excellent! We had a private tour of 5 friends with Andrew to the Blue Mountains. By the end of the tour we were 6 friends. The vehicle was clean and modern, and our tour guide, Andrew, was friendly, knowledgeable, had a sense of humor, was flexible and above all personable. He made the experience easy,fun and educational. The included luncheon at the Bon Ton Restaurant in Leura was excellent, and so was the service at the restaurant. It was an great recommendation. Runaway Tours made booking from the USA easy. They answered all of my questions quickly and efficiently(and I had many). Booking and payment was easy, and the entire experience was so much better than booking with a larger tour group. The personal service we received was above and beyond any of our expectations. Thank you again for this wonderful experience.

The private tour with Andrew was a unique experience. Andrew has a tremendous amount of knowledge and is extremely well-versed. He led us to beautiful places that have been spared by mass tourism so far. It was a once in a lifetime experience.
Tip: Do not visit the wildlife park, but spend time in the Blue Mountains. This is much more valuable.

We had Andrew, take us around to all the tourist spots of Sydney on 9.4.2019, we only had a few hours as we came off a cruise ship. A private tour. 10/10 Andrew was very polite and so much knowlege of the history of Sydney. Everyone was so happy that such a private tour could be done, with the tight schedule, back in plenty of time to board the cruise ship going back to Brisbane. Will definately use again an will advise others.A1 Excellent. 10/10

Thank you for booking a 4 hour Sydney Private Tour with Runaway Tours! Your guide will meet you at the Arrivals Gate with a Welcome Sign and escort you to your vehicle. Please have your phone switched on upon arrival in case we need to get in touch with you. Please pay your guide AUD$100 for the later time start. Please note, our guides are not professional porters and under Work, Health and Safety regulations are not permitted to lift heavy bags. Please let us know which cruise ship you are travelling with and your guide will drop you there at 1300.

We have a group of four flying into Sydney on Feb 11. We will have luggage from our flight. Can we be picked up from the airport and dropped off at the port at the end of the tour? We are interested in the half day tour. Could we be picked up at 9:00?

Hi there
Thank you for your question. Yes, we can certainly pick you up from the airport at 0900. Your guide will then take you on your private 4 hour highlights tour to see the best that Sydney has to offer! They will then drop you and your luggage off at your cruise terminal at 1300.
What time is your flight arriving? We normally allow you around 45 minutes to get your luggage and come through customs. So if your flight lands at 0815, an 0900 pickup is perfect.
Please note, because it is our busiest time of year, when travelling between 23 January to 5 March, there is a AUD$100 fee (payable to your guide by cash or credit card on the day) if your pickup is outside our standard tour times of 8am and 1pm.

I am thinking that you are referring to our Blue Mountains Tour!
1. Pick up will be from your city hotel or other central location at 7.30 am.
2. We will drop you back at your hotel between 5 and 5.30 in the evening
3. Yes we are free for a private tour for 4 people on the 31st of December 2016, but best to book early, as this is our busiest time of the year!
