My hotel was on the edge of Chinatown but I wanted some Western food and drink. What could be better than this homely Irish bar? Well I went upstairs to the so-called bistro where there was a decent choice of plain food at reasonable prices....More

Guinness on tap at $5.50 , bargain , was however a late evening visit which coincided with a karaoke night , very full and very loud ! There is another quieter bar upstairs . No smoking area .

After walking around and checking beer prices this is the cheapest beer in town. At $5.50 a pint in happy hour 12pm to 10pm you can't go wrong. Plenty of beers to choose from. Okay it's has basic decor but the atmosphere is typically Australian.

We called in for a drink on our way to our evening meal. It was loud (and I mean loud) we couldn't have a conversation with each other as we couldn't hear each other, even upstairs. It was dirty and sticky floors. Avoid at all...More

I went to Scruffy Murphy's for a late lunch before a concert. Everything about the experience was average. Service, average. Food, average. Beer choices were average, but some where only $5 a pint.

Came here for a cheap $10 steak and had to wait a while to be served even though there was 3 staff behind the bar and 2 of them were doing nothing. Once we got served I was short changed by $1.40 but couldn't be...More
