Amazing

Weather was great and we were rewarded with incredible panoramic views. Lots of walking opportunities too if that's what you like. Don't miss if you are in the area.

I've lived in Sydney all my life and to my shame only discovered this lookout last year (I grew up about 15kms from it). I've been back many times since and love the relaxing experience of looking at the spectacular vista that includes Lion island, Barrenjoey, Palm Beach, Broken Bay, Patonga and the South Pacific Ocean. Sometimes it's quite busy... More

The trip out there is through national park and you have to pay to get into it. En route there are many places to pull up and take a hike but we bypassed them on this occasion and only stopped when we reached the Resolute Picnic Area, a lovely spot if you want to have a picnic with full facilities.... West Head and resolute park has clear views to the entire Palm Beach and two bodies of water on its both sides. There are many walking tracks around West Head itself and also along the road from Mona Vale road. The track I walked in a circle near 6km long and a mix of wasy and difficult sections. Overall I... Drive to West Head Pittwater near Sydney Australia, and you will find yourself at a free attraction which I suspect millions of Sydney siders will never have visited. i was one of those and so were many of the 40 Rotarian Caravan Club members with whom I was travelling. It's a beautiful drive about 45 minutes from the Sydney CBD... More

Nice drive on smooth roads out to the look out which has great views of Palm Beach and Lion Island. Great picnic facilities in the park and a multitude of walking trails.

There's plenty of shady seating, maps of the area and a reasonable amount of parking. However we decided to do the "relatively easy"... More
