The Sydney Cricket and Sports Ground Trust is responsible for managing two of Australia’s premier sports venues – the Sydney Cricket Ground and Allianz Stadium. Both venues are located at Moore Park, only 4km from the central business district and adjacent to the popular bars, restaurants, cinemas and shops of the Entertainment Quarter. The historic Sydney Cricket Ground boasts an impressive list of credentials, encompassing cricket, Australian Rules Football, Rugby League, Rugby Union, Soccer, Baseball, Cycling and major concerts by the Rolling Stones, Billy Joel and Elton John, Michael Jackson, Madonna, the Eagles, Prince, Green Day and the Wave Aid concert. The Sydney Cricket Ground provides the perfect balance between the big crowd atmosphere and intimacy with the on-field action. These aspects, combined with the location of the venue, make visiting the SCG a special experience for all patrons.

Came to watch the Aussies claim the Ashes at the SCG, my first time at the ground and stayed for four days. Stayed at a nearby hotel on Oxford St so it was very convenient to walk to any of the gates. Not sure if...More

Finally got to check the SCG off the bucket list by attending days 1 & 2 of the ashes test. Trying to put things into perspective, bearing in mind both days were sellouts. Avoided the tedious bag search by not having a bag, but hard...More

As a Sports Stadium, the SCG is really attractive place. This is damning with faint praise but truly how it is from someone who has been to a lot of big sporting arenas. The old and the new mix really, really well. It is also...More

I enjoyed the ground but not the cricket ! I watched England play Australia in the 5th Test - lamentable from England. However, the ground and experience was world class !

Seriously - there is nothing better than visiting this venue and watching the cricket. Day 5 of the final ashes test was incredible, great grounds/atmosphere. Will return next year!

Was in members stand. Hottest day on record. Staff were constantly brining water around. I had a fainting episode due to heat. Medics there within seconds. Professional and attentive. Very caring staff. Thank you all to members bar staff, and medics. You were all fantastic.

The seating is more than adequate, as are the views of whatever cricket is being played and there are sufficient toilets for all. However, when it comes to the scoreboard, it is a pathetic disaster and might even be bettered by most village scoreboards for...More

What a delight to get to see an Ashes test match at this fine old ground. It’s fabulous to sit in the air conditioned Trumper stand and look across to the old pavilion. Great facilities and a fabulous day-apart from England’s performance!

A good day at the cricket spoilt by hopeless logistics getting to the ground, queuing for an hour and a half to get a cup of coffee, sandwiches sold that were 3 days past their “best by date”, 30 metre long queues to get into...More
