Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wide, sandy beach with huge waves - plenty of space in the sun, some shadowy areas, water, shower, plenty of cafes and anything else you may need close by.

A lot of beaches in Sydney are kid friendly but this one is of my favourites to take the kids. A number of factors include.. lots of eateries nearby including Maccas. Fantastic swimming rock pool (located next to surf lifesaving club).

Tips: the ocean view convenience store next to Maccas sells towels, beach toys etc

Transport: buses run from numerous parts of city.

One of my favourite beaches in the city since it’s large enough to not get over crowded but also not over bearing. There’s plenty of seating and viewing spots along the edge of the beach if you don’t want to actually go on the sand and plenty of restaurants / bars along the adjacent road. Everywhere is naturally well kept and there’s lots to admire with the natural landscape and nice buildings nearby. Great atmosphere throughout and a great spot to spend a few hours or even a full day.

Coogee Beach is the beautiful little sister to Bondi Beach and is well worth a visit. Take some time to do the coastal walk between Coogee and Bondi. It's a little less "fancy" than Bondi.

If you are looking for a locals beach not full of tourists this is the place. It’s so so nice with lots of facilities I’m hand. Plus life guards on the beaches and great food options just there.

Well worth it

A beautiful coastal walk with cove after cove to swim in. We took the 373 bus from Sydney (you simply swipe in and out with your credit card on the bus) and walked the 6-7km walk to Bondi Beach. We stopped halfway and have a basic but delicious lunch with homemade soda at Seasalt at Clovelly Beach (note - this does close around 3pm). We caught the 333 bus back to Sydney harbour - these buses run every 10 minutes. Please note that this entire walk is unsuitable for wheelchairs or push chairs, or people who cannot walk up and down steps as there are quite a lot. We met a lovely couple who told us about this walk when we were travelling around Australia. They live in Sydney. It was a great shout as this was one of the highlights of our holiday - enjoy🙏

This is our go to place for a short break. Beautiful beach and rock pools, great places to eat and the scenery from the Coogee to Bondi coastal walk is spectacular.
Highly recommend a visit for Sydneysiders and tourists.
