Great Beach, spectacular view, enjoyed watching the surfers. Lots of nice shops and eateries in the area. One of the least expensive places in Sydney to shop and eat.

Instead of a harbour cruise we took the ferry to Manly. You can leave from the quay or Darling. That allows a good photo op of the opera house, a little time on the water, and then a nice day at the beach. Plenty of...More

The local Sydney people choose Manly over Bondi and it is clear when you get there, by a short ferry trip, why. The two beaches are as good as Bondi, but you can actually swim, the cafes and restaurants are much more reasonably priced and...More

Although just having the afternoon in this gorgeous place we found lots of shopping and food outlets in abundance. Just walking around and stepping on to the beach was a great experience, thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

The day was absolutely lovely starting with a scenic 30 minutes ferry ride. By purchasing the Opal card, it was only about $3 round trip. We travelled on a Sunday. There is a fast ferry which would take 18 minutes but we wanted to enjoy...More

Lovely clean and sandy beach which can be accessed via a ferry ride from Darling Harbour. The beach is manned by lifeguards and popular with surfers. Plenty of shops nearby and lots of bars and cafes along the promenade.

Took the ferry from the CBD to the Manly on the evening, took around 20 minutes to reach here. Got down from the ferry and could see 5-6 pub restaurants on the shore which were flooded with the people having loud music as well. Walking...More

A 40-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay will take
you to the famous northern beach of Manly. The beaches
here are perfect for learning to surf or spending the
day sun-tanning. The walk from Spit Bridge to Manly is
a great way to experience Sydney Harbour Bay and the
Australian bush land. Along the foreshore, there are
plenty of watering holes and wine bars with excellent
cuisine. There are plenty of kid-friendly restaurants

It's beautiful anytime on Manly beach and Shelley beach. Weather should be OK we are still having sunny days and mild temperatures. Ride the ferry over from Circular Quay.
