Vivid 2016 highlights the Garden's 200th anniversary in fantastic style. The lighting of the trees and the surrounding gardens continues to highlight the beauty of Sydney. Visiting at night provides a new prospective on the gardens as well as allowing great night views over the...More

This place is huge and you need to give it time to look around slowly, if possible. The wildlife is amazing, as are the views, so enjoy it slowly.

There is a stunning little walk to do along the Harbour from the entrance to the botanic gardens, ending at a peninsula known as Lady Macquarie's Chair. You will have to do the walk to learn the story. Go at dusk and there are stunning,...More

We had a short stay in Sydney in January 2015, though very warm the lovely shade and breezes off the Harbour made it pleasant. Well worth the walk through the gardens to the Sydney Opera House and Harbour.

This is a favourite location to attend and I do so at least once a month. Located on the Sydney Harbour Foreshore, these Gardens have sweeping views of Sydney Harbour. Gardens are well manicured, a variety of trees and shrubs. Lots of Cockatoos have made...More

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with
energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise
buildings and after-work drink places, high-end
shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners
frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a
dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit
the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle,
reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens
