This was my great time surfing and camping in Australia. I was really impressed. All staff are friendly and food was great too. They did not only teach me how to surf but also explained about things that we should know about surf such as wind and waves. Also, I really enjoyed the atmosphere around camping because we had a chance to see wild kangaroos hanging around. This was so amazing.

I joined the 8 week development camp at AST and can clearly say that it was the best decision of my life.
I felt home right away because the AST-crew treated me as if we had been friends for a long time. My Surfcoach Christian was a bloody Legend. Not only because of his amazing surfing /teaching skills but also because he took us to every event or party nearby without hesitation which made the stay even nicer. I was able to meet so many locals in my own age, which probably wouldn't have been possible if I had stayed in a "regular" surf camp. But of course all the other surf coaches are amazing too!!! Either Daniel (the funniest person I´ve ever meet), Lucky (the funniest laugh I`ve ever heard) or Tom and all the other surf coaches who all made my stay special!!! Not to forget the lovely Ladies Sharon and Ashley who work so hard to plan your further trip after the camp or just organize your stay and are always there to answer your questions or to give you local advice!
Nevertheless it was so much fun seeing my surfing improve during those 8-weeks!! From an amateur, I developed to be a confident surfer in the lineup.

I know this sounds like a very personal review but it probably shows how easy you make new friends at the AST-Surfcamp, what a great community AST is and that besides increasing your fun to surf you get to experience the surfer lifestyle. Unfortunately all good things come to an end and my time in the camp went by waaaaay to fast! But thanks to AST and its' amazing crew I can safely say that I have not only improved my surfing skills but also gained a second family that I will never forget.
A big thank you to every member at AST !!!

Thanks Julius for this awesome feedback!! It was such a pleasure to have you with us, to see you improving week by week and without to forget how nice it was to celebrate your birthday at AST. Thanks for always smiling and giving us back epic vibes. You came as a beginner and you left as an intermediate surfer. Even if I am sure Kristian your surf coach was proud of you, you should be proud of the journey you' ve been through and the surfer you became. You know you come back when you want for some more waves and some more good times. We hope to see you again soon in the water or somewhere in the world. Always keep the good vibes alive and sharing the stoke! Take care. Much love from the AST Team. X

I had tried surfing three times before coming to AST in different parts of the world and I can honestly say these were the best waves, the best teachers and the best atmosphere for learning! I stayed for a week (in Thirroul) which is intense but definitely manageable, and worth it as everyone makes great progress. Surf lessons were complemented by video correction and skateboarding which was incredibly fun as well, and the surf house was really and provided yummy breakfast :) Sam, Lili and everyone else made me feel at home, I will definitely come back :)

I can't tell you about the surfing itself because whilst I was apparently sent an email I never received this or a call to tell me the trip was cancelled. It wasn't until I had been waiting at the pick up point and called myself after they didn't arrive to find out that it was.

Hi Gabrielle, Again we are very disappointed to not have been able to take you on a 1 day adventure and subsequently refunded you the very next day. Normally I would not refute any feedback as it is all very valuable to us in maintaining excellent service standards but in this case I don't think your response is very fair considering we sent 2 emails to the address you gave us, called continually the phone number you gave us (I would put the attempts at 10+) and sent a text message. We tried very hard to contact you on the details we were given but received no reply. There's not a lot more we can do. It was just unfortunate you obviously could not access any form of technology over the 3 days prior to departure. Best of luck with your future travels. Kind Regards, Sam

I am a college student from the USA who has been studying in Australia for over a month now. This past weekend I learned to surf with AST and it was my favorite weekend down under by far! Honestly, I could not have asked for a better weekend.

All of the instructors were so helpful and enthusiastic! It was evident that they truly cared about us all and wanted to see us succeed. The weekend was organized yet relaxing. The food and sleeping arrangements were wonderful.

Learn to surf with AST - you won't regret it! One of the best experiences of my life.

The surf camp was great. The people were really cool and the food was absolutely delicious. Everyday we had good waves. The reason for that , we had six beaches facing different directions so you always have off shore wind 😉. In the evening, we went to the beach and had a wonderful night around the campfire . And of course, we learned how to surf so that we were alone capable after the camp.
Then we bought our own board, a fiberglass board, which was more difficult to surf than the normal foam long board. After a few weeks we visited the camp again with our own board. This helpt us to know how we should use the fiberglass board and had an unforgettable weekend ! All of this is accompanied by a photographer so you can also share the amazing memories with your family and friends at home.
It's never too late to start surfing.

Congratulation, you found probably the best surf school in Australia.

You won't forget this weekend I promise you. Fantastic and helpful surf instructors will teach you how to surf and how you can improve your skills. In addition this guys and girls are absolutely adorable, funny as hell and very good-looking as well!

Bendalong beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in NSW. Surf epic waves, meet kangaroos and other Australian animals, enjoy the delicious self-made food and drink a beer or two, sleep in tents covered with cozy pillows and blankets. And of course, there are a lot of other cool people who all are looking for the same: have a great time!

Join this adventure and fall in love with surfing! This weekend is one of my best experience I've made in Australia - mate.
