I have always had my heart set on buying opal earrings in Australia. Of course my birthday is in October! From the moment we entered the shop, we were treated like we were their most important clients. Nelly showed us loose stones and taught us the different types of opal. She walked us around the store and got a feel for what caught our eyes and tried to find similar pieces. We found the most extraordinary pair of earrings with amazing fire. She carefully boxed and sealed the jewelry so we could bring them home duty free. Once we got home about a month later, the earrings were even more beautiful than we remembered. I haven't stopped wearing them since.

Trip to Australia is incomplete if one has not looked into the OPAL, a mineraloid. Our internet search revealed, "Opal Minded", as the destination for some serious shopping. We had a wonderful time shopping as we learnt about the mining, characteristics and why opal is distinctly different from a crystal or diamond. The play of colors under light had a spectacular Doppler like effect. We were introduced to the world of Opal by Ms. Nelly, at the store, show casing us the variety available. We admire her knowledge of the product, the intellectual honesty in helping and guiding us to choose the best within our allotted budget. For all the Opal buyers out there, we recommend you must visit, "Opal Minded", for a good buy as an investment and see Mother Nature at her best in all splendors.

If you’re into opals this is the place to go. Located in the Rocks opposite the cruise terminal. Visisted on our 3 past visits to Sydney and purchased on line during Covid which went well. Lucky enough to be in Sydney in February 24 so expect we will be paying a visit. Lovely staff and no pressure.

Our dealings with Renata and her crew were second to none. From design to finished product, they were there to assist. Taking my design elements to make a family heirloom was amazing. I do not know much about opals, but was looking for a loose stone for a bespoke item that I am going to have made later. I went to multiple places specializing in opals in Sydney, and while all were helpful, the service at Opal Minded was unparalleled in terms of time they spent going through options, answering questions, and even giving input on the ideal design for my future bespoke item that this will be part of. While not the only reason I decided to buy from this location, when I was left with a couple of comparable options, their excellent customer service was the thing that swayed me into purchasing what ended up as two stones from them. Isabelle was great in working with me to ensure that I got the right items for my needs, even though this resulted in me purchasing two smaller and less expensive stones than originally planned, and Claudia also provided valuable feedback on the overall design ideas. This focus on customer satisfaction over short term profits is incredibly appreciated, and indicates a company culture that understands delighting customers and long term success are inextricable linked.

Finally ended our long search for opal ring during our visit to Australia at Opal Minded. Certainly unique in sourcing and designing their own opal jewellery. Isabelle was most helpful, knowledgeable and patient whilst we took our time to identify the ring which met our requirements

Was looking for something nice for my girlfriend. I went into the store and told the staff what I was thinking of and my budget, then they helped me find something stunning that was in the price range I was looking for. I didn't get pressured or upsold, and I didn't have to look at a bunch of things that were out of my range. They also helped me avoid taxes (I'm from the States and was heading home the next day).

The ladies in Opal minded were amazing. Isabelle walked me through all my options and made sure I saw all of my options in my price point so I could choose the best stone for me. The designs are truly one of a kind. Highly recommend this shop for a special piece of Australia to take home.
