About
Carriageworks is the largest and most significant contemporary multi-arts centre of its kind in Australia. Carriageworks engages artists and audiences with contemporary ideas and issues. The program is artist led and emerges from Carriageworks' commitment to reflecting social and cultural diversity. The Carriageworks artistic program is ambitious, risk taking and unrelenting in its support of artists. Carriageworks is open 10am - 6pm daily and open until late on performance nights.

This was an excursion with the Art Gallery of NSW.
It was fabulous.
Amazing collection of artists and their works from all over Australia and the World.
Artists talks, corridors filled with wonderful works and visitors eagerly seeking views and Art works.
Great feeling of excitement ☺️ and success.
Well worth a visit.
Good to go by train - 10 minute walk from Redfern.
Yalumba Bistro good place to eat.

Saturday Market that start at 8am-13 pm weekly.
You can find fresh produce from fresh seasonal vegetables like variety of mushrooms to potatoes, small goods, Pepe saya butter, Sonoma bread, artisan pie, honey, pasta stall and off course coffee roster.

We go to farmers markets wherever we are. We found the Carriageworks to be on the smaller side but the quality of the vendors and products were top notch. We bought figs, crumpets, meat pie and several baked goods. Everything was excellent. My only complaint is that there should be a designated covered area to sit and eat your food. The areas provided were much too small.

Some good bread shops ,vegetables, meat and Vietnamese pho .Dutch potatoes from Crookwell, and. Rock salt ,need more outdoor seating for people to eat food . Was quite expensive compared to other farmers markets .

Each stall shows where the product is from. You can taste test different samples. I like where the market is located. Definitely show come here and early!

This where you go for your produce and bakery goods. A small local market with great meats, limited seafood and an array of produce and cheeses. Bakery goods are available too.

Food is the name of the game for this market located in Eveleigh. If you want fresh fruit and vegies, and nice pick out food, then look no further. A large variety of stalls at good wholesale prices. You can do your weekly grocery shopping here

Carriageworks is everything I want in a Farmers market - beautiful location, excellent local produce & absolutely delicious food!
I had a fantastic brekkie-burger from a local butcher & a beautiful juice to start the day off. Two thumbs up! Will be back for more!

🌞💞🧀🍅🍔🌶🍦☕Saturday lunch done right: Double cheese & truffle burger with tomato & chilli jam, salted caramel gelato, and my triple shot soy latte...💣💥 There's plenty of seating, but if all out... perch up on the concrete, or bring a picnic blanket. Its also best to get the train to Redfern and walk 10mins, alternatively,
a bus to King Street Newtown, and walk 7mins as parking is near impossible due to it being next to Sydney University, high residential area, adding all the market goers! We had a great time every time we visited this market on a Saturday. Good size. Good selection of sellers. Good variety of food/drinks/bread/fresh produce. Nibbles and coffee sitting under the sun! While watching (and patting) lotsa cute puppies... Love the vibe.
