A really great fun filkked dy out visiting Summer Bay. The knowledge the guys have is awesome. They make sure that you get as near as you can to the action that is happening. They are really commited to making your day as pleasurable as possible.Even if you are not a Home and Away fan it is still a trip woth doing and the price is very reasonable

I actually went a couple more years ago. I had a great time, it was a little tricky to find the meeting point but the tour was great. The driver was really good. The only disappointing thing was I did not get to meet any of the actors and actresses (which wasn't the tour guide's fault at all). It was great to see the different sets I see on TV in person.

We went on this tour last week. It was a fabulous day out to Palm Beach, the weather was picture perfect. Even my husband who has never watched the show loved the whole experience of Summer Bay. Our tour guide Tania was a wealth of information about the area and the show. We got to see some filiming being done , meet some of the cast even had a chat !
All in all it was a great day out, only down side would be it should start earlier in the day. That way when you are dropped off in Manly at the end of the tour, you've got more time before the sun goes down, especially in winter.

Bought two tickets for this tour costing $105 each. Choose to go on a Wednesday as it says in the advertising that Monday to Wednesday is when the cast would be filming. I went on this tour with my mam who is a die hard home & away fan, she was in Sydney on holidays & this was her last day out before she flew back home to Ireland. To say we were disappointed was an understatement. The bus driver & tour guide we're polite & professional but that was the only positive side to this tour. After being picked up at 1.15pm we made our way to Palm Beach. The bus was very loud making it hard to hear the dvd the played for us on the way up about the history of the programme. On the way to the first destination numerous people asked would they see any of the cast filming neither the driver or tour guide could give a yes or no answer. I think if ye are going to charge so much money to drive to Palm Beach ye should let people know that morning if they are actually going to see the cast or not?
We then got to the second location which was the cafe or "Pier Diner" on the show. We were hoping to get a bite to eat but their kitchen was closed so only had coffee available. I understand this is a separate business to yours but would it not make sense for your company to make a relationship with the cafe to say that tours would be coming in at a certain time & ask to keep the kitchen opened that bit longer. As ye have it advertised that there would be places to pick up lunch on the way but clearly that was wrong also.
On the way home we were shown some of the houses that are used on the programme but didn't get a chance to stop & take any pictures.
Then to be dropped back to Manly & having to pay an extra $8 to get the ferry back to circular quay was abit ridiculous too.
Over all extremely disappointed with this "tour". If anyone is thinking of doing it DON'T! Do yourself & your pocket a favour & keep away from this tour.
Hire a car & go to Palm Beach yourself or get the train/bus to it instead.
Over priced & over rated!

My friend and I are big fans of home and away were really excited for this tour. It was really good seeing the outdoor setting for the show but that was all the tour offered. For the price we paid I was expecting to be shown some behind the scenes features or sets. The tour guide, Paul spent more time driving around the neighbourhood beside the beach making smart comments about the mansions there than talking about the show. He was also rude to myself and my friends when we didn't want him to take a picture of us, and he made very offensive comments throughout the tour about disabled people and eating disorders. At one point Paul drove extremely recklessly over a speed bump which I think caused me whiplash. He thought it was funny. Our Home and Away "expert" seemed to be winging the whole thing and talked more about her personal life than the show. She was unable to answer a lot of questions she was asked. Also, she was dropped home while the paying customers were dumped at a random beach to find their own way home. Before this though the bus was stopped at the side of the road to look at whales, after which Paul said that it "saved the tour." For $99 this is an absolute rip off and I would urge fans of the show to just make their own way over as the tour is not worth it! It was clear the staff had not worked together before/ prepared for the tour as they continuously interrupted or repeated one another. I found them to be very unprofessional and the tour has very little to do with the show.

Did the tour on a Tuesday in the hope of seeing some filming. Was not disappointed. As we drove into Summer Bay I was whisked back to my youth (I’m lying, I still watch the show daily 😂). I got goosebumps seeing the Pier Diner, the Bait Shop and the Surf Club.
We were lucky enough to see some filming going on outside the Surf Club and grabbed a couple of shots of Alf!
After watching the filming we headed back on the coach to walk around the Bait Shop and were shown the externals of various character houses before being dropped off at Manly to get the ferry back to Sydney.
I loved this experience and would recommend it to any fans of the show. My only disappointment was that we didn’t get to meet any of the actors as I really wanted to say hi to Alf but then they were busy filming.

The guides were pleasant and knowledgeable. They picked us up on time and explained what we would be doing. Be prepared that for around a 4 hour tour you will be travelling to and from “Summer bay” for at least two hours. The rest is basically being show to the surf club, the beach and the outside of Salt. Other than that it wasn’t hugely impressive. Although styled as the “official” tour group it’s difficult to see how this would differ from merely driving a car up there yourself and having a look round, except perhaps for the cost. The last 45 minutes of the tour consisted of driving around various suburbs and scoping out the houses which are used as the outside of the actors homes in the show. It felt a little intrusive, some residents of the streets were clearly not happy to see a bus load of tourists blocking up their street and gaping at the specified homes.
I’m not a fan of the show, never have been and never will be. I was dragged along by a friend. So someone who does take an active interest in Home and Away may have an entirely different view. There were people on the tour bus with an encyclopaedic knowledge of the show and it’s history, who appeared to be having a whale of a time. On that basis I’ve given the tour 3 stars, otherwise it would have been lower.

It was raining cold and windy but that didn’t diminish our enjoyment or enthusiasm in our Home & Away Tour with Flamin Galah Tours on Monday 27/5/19.
Our driver was so funny and informative and our guide was just gorgeous. I liked that she had a personal connection to the show too.
We were so lucky to see some filming which was fascinating and super lucky to see some of our favourite stars-Justin Leah MAson Ava.
Justin (James Stewart) was so friendly and gracious came over and spent time with us chatting (told me he liked my hat) and took selfies with us all. That was very much appreciated!
All in all a great day out thank you you Flamin Galah 😆

We went to Palm Beach where they film Home and Away. It was great right from the time we got onto the bus. Our bus driver and guide was full of history about the whole trip from The Rocks, the mountain ranges, Sydney's northern beaches and of course Home and Away facts. We were lucky enough to see some actors who were filming on the beach bad we got to stay there quite a while. We also went to the Surf Club, the Bait Shop, the famous pier and saw Brax's and Jonn and Marilyn's houses. We also had a special guide that had worked on Summer Bay in production who knew the actors personally. She gave a great insight into the characters and their personalities off screen. This trip was one of the best highlights of our Sydney holiday 👍

Hi is the tour ok for wheelchair or limited mobility people
Written 24 November 2018
Hi Jodie,
Many thanks for the inquiry you submitted through Trip Advisor
I am very sorry to say, but as with a lot of tour buses and coaches, our Home and Away vehicle is not wheel chair friendly. Depending on how busy the tour is with passengers we can accommodate a small fold up wheel chair, but we would need anyone with a wheel chair to be able to get out of it and occupy one of the seats in the bus.
If I can help any more in assisting you to Palm Beach, please let me know.

I have booked the home and away tour online didn't get any tickets is that normal do you just arrive on the day?
Written 12 December 2016
Hi Shelby 149, firstly thank you for your Official Home and Away tour booking. Without knowing your real name, I can not check whether we have received your booking or not. Its worth checking if we have your booking, because you have not received "tickets/confirmation email" from us and you should have received something when you book. Possibly the automatic email from us has gone in your junk folder, or possibly you made a mistake when entering your email address and therefore the automatic email was not sent to you at all. At the end of the day, as long as you have made a booking, you actually do not need any tickets or paperwork to get on the tour, as your name will be on our list. The only reason the paperwork is useful is so you know exactly were the tour departs from. I suggest you get in contact with me via our website and tell me your name and date you booked the tour and we can go from there. Thanks. Al Wilson

Myself and my friend are arriving in Sydney 2/06/15
We are huge Home & Away fans and seeing the reviews about your tour to palm beach we have decided to use your company to take us on a memorable trip to the summer bay set. What would be the best day to go for filming? We are only in Sydney a short time. Would we need to pre book this tour?
Also have you any info on your airport transfer pick up please
Look forward to hearing from you
Written 9 January 2015
Hi there and thanks for your inquiry. First of all, for any further correspondence, please use the inquiry form on our website or call 02 9977 7890.
In terms of airport transfers we only do large groups, so you are best choosing one of the other shuttle companies. Like Airbus Sydney or Northside Shuttle if you are staying near Manly.
In terms of Home and Away, the most likely days for seeing filming are Mon, Tue and Wed. Thu and Fri are unlikely and the weekends are a definite no, (we don’t run Home and Away tours at the weekends).
I am afraid I can not say for certain which day out of these three there will be filming at that time in August. Sometimes we do get an indication the week before, but not this far in advance.
Please be aware that if you don’t see filming then this can be an advantage. It means that the key areas of Summer Bay will not fenced off and therefore you will have free reign to walk anywhere you want around Palm Beach and take many photos. When they are filming this is not always possible, but still very exciting.
Let me know if I can help anymore or if you would like to book, please visit our website.
Hope that helps and thanks for your inquiry.
