Just returned from doing this excellent tour with John. He was one of the most informed and enthusiastic tour guides whom we’ve had. It was a very special two hours filled with fascinating stories; it really was a “do-not-miss” tour.

For those who like scenic walks,a walk around The Narrabeen Lakes is a lovely way to spend a couple of hours, and the best part is that there are no hills and all the walk is on level paths,Narrabeen is part of the northern beaches area of Sydney.
About 20 kilometres north of the Sydney CBD and easily reached by public transport [bus].Get off at the main terminus in the shopping centre and you will see the lakes system straight away.Travel around the lake in a clockwise direction, heading south then west and circumnavigate back to the start. There are maps showing the system and the walk is abt. 8.4 kilometres in all.Say hullo to the ducks and enjoy a lovely day out.Take water with you for hydratiion.

What a charming way to spend the afternoon. Chantal is so knowledgeable about the history of Sydney. I found a lot of interesting bars and restaurants along the way, too, which I'm planning to go back to later on in the trip. The Rocks is fascinating.

It may seem daunting or a mammoth task... but it's do-able. Kick started our day from The Sydney Tower Eye, just a short hop from Town Hall Station, which gives you a breathtaking bird's eye view of the entire city and beyond. Armed with a city map and our guide it was not hard to orient our way to the following zones of attraction.
Try the SkyWalk for a morning's adrenaline gusto. A quick looksie through the retail hub in Pitt Street and we are a walking through the lovely Hyde Parkland to The Art Gallery Of NSW, where you can devour art & culture within this classi building that houses Indigenous art, Colonial and 20th century influences by European, Australian and Asian masters.
Down the hill we roll, across the majestic Botanic gardens, green and velvety acres sitting at the lap of the harbour and skirting the CBD. From here, the iconic sails of The Opera House beckon like a beacon. Some quick step climb or elevator ride will deposit you within this amazing edifice with spectacular views of the Harbour Bridge, cruise ships and a flotilla of boats criss-crossing the fantastic blue of the harbour.
It takes your breath away and it's hard to beat. Now you are within minutes from Circular Quay and the historic Rocks Precinct with its eateries, galleries and retail temptations. After lunch, a ferry ride across the harbour to Taronga Zoo and Manly Corso and beach .
If you are still energetic finish off your tour with the best beach in Australia at Bondi... clear water, white sand and lovely quirky population. Grab a famous Bondi Burger from the countless eateries to enjoy on the grassy lawns for a picture perfect view of the iconic beach.
Now if you had two days to spare.... i wonder what we could get up to? Stay tuned for further adventures in this marvellous city.

Sydney offers plenty of historical and contemporary Australian flavor. The amazing Sydney Opera House looks like floating peacefully in a harbor.
