Just returned from doing this excellent tour with John. He was one of the most informed and enthusiastic tour guides whom we’ve had. It was a very special two hours filled with fascinating stories; it really was a “do-not-miss” tour.

For those who like scenic walks,a walk around The Narrabeen Lakes is a lovely way to spend a couple of hours, and the best part is that there are no hills and all the walk is on level paths,Narrabeen is part of the northern beaches area of Sydney. About 20 kilometres north of the Sydney CBD and easily reached by public transport [bus].Get off at the main terminus in the shopping centre and you will see the lakes system straight away.Travel around the lake in a clockwise direction, heading south then west and circumnavigate back to the start. There are maps showing the system and the walk is abt. 8.4 kilometres in all.Say hullo to the ducks and enjoy a lovely day out.Take water with you for hydratiion.

What a charming way to spend the afternoon. Chantal is so knowledgeable about the history of Sydney. I found a lot of interesting bars and restaurants along the way, too, which I'm planning to go back to later on in the trip. The Rocks is fascinating.
