Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Andy was the tour guide for our 2017 yoga retreat in Australia (11/9 - 11/21).
He was patient, personable and was always open to making us comfortable.
He was knowledgeable about Australia, Sydney, Aboriginal culture & even geology!
He cleared the furniture so that we had space for morning yoga classes at the Vulcan.
He drove us around Sydney where we enjoyed many of the beautiful sights like Manly & Bondi beaches, the Newtown festival, Sydney Harbour, museums, the Featherdale Wildlife Park.
He took us to numerous restaurants. Picnics. BBQs.
He took us to Leura/the Blue Mountains.
We visited a winery at Silos Estates, for wine & cheese tastings.
Also visited the serene & beautiful Nan Tien, the largest Buddhist Temple in the Southern Hemisphere-had a delicious vegetarian lunch.
We took a scenic road trip along the East Coast to Jervis Bay where we had close encounters with a family of kangaroos outside our cabins at the Bay of Plenty Lodges and Law & I had massages on a private beach!
We also flew to Ayers Rock/Central Australia where we had a camel tour, visited The Festival of Lights and were blessed to experience the amazing sunrises and sunsets at the sacred sites of Uluru & Kata Jhuta.

PROS: Andy was the perfect tour guide. He stepped up to the plate to ensure that vegans, vegetarians & carnivores had options at mealtimes. He remained patient throughout the entire trip. He didn't even seem to get flustered when running in the 100 degree temps at Kata Jhuta. Overall, he successfully managed the 12 individuals in our group & our distinct personalities. I would highly recommend Andy if you are planning a trip to Australia, Sydney or Ayers Rock.

If you are a runner, this is a fantastic way to get a handle on an area of the city.

I ran with Mick, who met me in my hotel lobby. We ran thru the Rocks area starting near the sydney observatory:
Ran at barangoo reserve, down past circular quay, to the opera house, thru the domain area of the botanic gardens over to cockles bay back to the hotel. It was very humid day and Mick was very good at keeping the pace to suit my needs. It was loads of fun

I had a fantastic 2 hr 30 min run with Andy who picked me up from our CBD hotel, then we weaved our way starting through Darling Harbour then made our way under the Harbour Bridge, through gardens back near oxford street then to centennial park where I received some super running tips. Andy is a delight to run with and easy to talk to. I would highly recommend Andy to take you around Sydney. He is organised, showed me on the map what direction we will start from and what we will see. He is an ultra marthoner and can run all day.

The group trip that I'd booked wasn't running so Andy offered to upgrade to a private tour free of charge.

The tour itself was great, tailored to the distance I was after and things I wanted to see. Going for a Saturday morning run around Sydney Opera House is something that will live long in the memory!

Andy was an excellent tour guide, friendly and easy to get on with. Clearly a knowledgable runner he passed on some excellent technical tips too.

We did a jogging tour of Sydney, totaling around 13km. Andy is a wonderful guide, with a relaxed and encouraging style which is perfect for a mixed-ability group (he and my boyfriend were definitely fitter/faster than me but I didn't feel rushed or pressured, which was great). Andy gave us the option of lots of info or not so much, and didn't disappoint when we chose 'lots'. He obviously knows the city well, shared interesting info and has a great sense of humour.

Andy took plenty of photos during the tour, which he then uploaded to the website for us, which is a really lovely touch. He seems genuinely enthusiastic about what he does, which is infectious, and even the most reluctant runner couldn't fail to be inspired.

We would definitely book another of these tours, we had a great time. Thanks Andy!

Andy Richards' tour was a brilliant way to start an Australian adventure especially after having endured the forever flight from L.A.. Andy met us at the airport, gathered our luggage and carted us off to the wonder of down under showing us sites that kept us charged and an extraordinary native food treat that included Kangaroo, all of which has become topics of recounted memories.
Thank you Andy from all 15 of the EMagic group.

My wife and I had two long runs in Sydney and a day-trip to the Blue Mountains (including a trail run) with Andy of UDU. We booked only the first one in advance but Andy was great so we booked the additional tours. Andy is highly knowledgeable about the ecology and history of the area. Importantly, he seems to honestly enjoy sharing that knowledge. His easy-going style, sense of humor, passion for the environment and flexibility worked perfectly for us. Andy and UDU is a perfect fit especially for anyone wanting to explore on foot and learn about what they are seeing. He is also fit enough to run fast and patient enough to go slow to accommodate older/slower runners. We picked UDU because of our desire to go on foot but we would highly recommend Andy also for a non-physically active group.
