Neighbourhood: Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.

Thank you for your honest and professional staff, especially the lady working at Wharf 2 , Circular quay.
My wife, three grandchildren and myself took a ferry to Manly from Circular Quay.
It was the hottest day on 12 February 2023 and returned to Circular quay.
After we got off, I found out that I left my smartphone with my ID, bank cards and opal cards on a Ferry. I asked the lady in charge at Wharf 2 to look for it but could not find it. I was shocked because, without these, I cannot do anything with all my valuable things even contact my son and buy some ice creams for my grandchildren. But, fortunately enough, my phone was returned.
Your staff showed professional and honest customer service.
Thank you again and best wishes for the future.

Website hasn’t been updated in weeks. Route from Manly to Watson Bay isn’t running anymore although the website says it is. Missed dinner reservation in Watson Bay because we had to go back to Circular Quay and then pick up another ferry back to Watson Bay. Very poor customer service!

Brilliant hotel in the middle of all places to visit. Right on the quay side.
Overlooking the bridge and the opera house. Good places to eat all around.

This ferry is not just about going from one place to another. It is the perfect way to see and explore Sydney Harbour and the entire region if you don't want to join a guided cruise. The view to the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House is amazing. I bought the "Hop On Hop Off Taronga Zoo Combo Pass" for two days. The 48 hours start when you first step on the ferry. With this pass I could also skip the waiting line at the zoo. It was perfect and a great value, especially if you know that you want to visit Manly Beach also. The ferry is comfortable, fast and on time. It is a great service. It is worth to use the Fast Ferry day and night.

We got on to the Fast Ferry thinking it was just another ferry, not realising it is meant to be more expensive and it is not government run. However we used our opal card and it cost us the usual small amount as the normal ferry. It was fast and comfortable and it did not really feel that much different from other ferries. We got from Manly to Circular Quay without any problems, and followed the same route as the usual ferry. The great views along the way are fantastic and you can get them travelling on any boat!

Had a enjoyable trip from darling har or to manly. Seemed profesionally ran and safe. Turned out to be a really scenic trip
This is a private co.pany and not the goverment run ferry. Wasnt obvious to me originally. But as i mentioned was scenic and comfortable.

This was the ideal package as it allowed us a rapid trip to Manley on the first day where we spent a very pleasant afternoon. These ferries run every 20 minutes so there was virtually no wait when we wanted to return. The following day the same ticket allowed us to do the 2 hour round trip which in addition to Manley gave us additional hop off and on places, zoo, Watson Bay Quarentine Bay and Darling Harbour. Best of all as senior citizans we only had to pay $35 for the ticket. There was a little commentary but it was not that type of cruise. Other more expensive trips may be better suited for that type.

So we paid and got on this ferry by mistake - we were actually looking for the normal day to day ferry that runs in sydney. We were so glad we made the mistake:
We were wanting to go from Darling Harbour to Watsons bay for lunch and then onto Manly and then back to DH. Firstly - the normal ferries cant go directly to Manly from WB you have to go back to Circular Quay and catch a ferry from CQ to Manly. So this was a win!! Secondly the queues for the normal ferry were ridiculous!!! We had such great seats on each of our hop ons and it wasn't overcrowded at all. No fighting to get a spot and the crew was really great. Well worth the extra cash.

Staying in Surry hills so thinking about getting fast ferry from darling harbour but seems to be double the cost of the circular quay ???

The Fast Ferry is more costly (because it is privately owned and, well, faster) than the public ferry, so perhaps you were looking at the price of the public ferry.

I will be visiting Sydney in February 2016, do I buy tickets at the dock or is there a way to skip ticket lines? Do you make stops or is the trip direct from Circle Quay to Manly? What are the hours of service? What is the price?
