Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Cockatoo Run from Central Station to Robertson via the Illawarra escarpment was a heritage train experience we enjoyed. The train was in immaculate condition and the views on the way down to Robertson were beautiful, especially along the coastal region. There was the availability of a bistro on board although very limited. Suggest you bring your own food / snacks. Whilst not a train enthusiast this was an interesting experience especially given the beautiful route. The staff on board are extremely friendly and helpful especially given it is on a voluntary basis.

What an amazing day and amazing bunch of train enthusiasts who organised the event.
When I booked my tickets I made a mistake and my elderly parents, with my 92 year old father were not seated next to us. It only took 123 Tix and the organizers to sort out this problem and seat us all together.
Thank you all very much.

Apr 2019 • Family
We went as a family for a ride on The Cockatoo Run from Sydney , hauled by a vintage diesel locomotive.
The Cockatoo Run commences its journey in Sydney and travels along the spectacular Illawarra route to Wollongong. The journey from Sydney offers spectacular coastal scenery prior to the ascent of the Illawarra Escarpment.
We got off at Roberston & enjoyed a meal at a local bowling club.
It was a wonderful day, spending time together with family on this heritage train.
