Neighbourhood: Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Created in 1991 and extended in 2011 the embedded brass plaques, there are 60 of them, run from the ferry terminal to nearly the opera house and honour Australian writers or those that have visited. Fun seeing who you can spot.

We didn't know about this before coming to Sydney, but stumbled upon it while walking in the area. We then started looking for the other markers. Very interesting and fun way to acknowledge the writers.

There is a lot going on around Circular Quay - keep your eye on the pavement and look out for the Sydney Writers Walk. A collection of 25 or so bronze plaques between the Opera House and the Passenger Terminal on the west side of the Quay.
The writers are mainly Australian and the plaques include a few lines of their writing and a short bio.
Those honoured include Clive James , Neville Shute and Germaine Greer, Keep a lookout for the others.

These plaques all around Sydney Harbour, between the cruise ship terminal and the opera house, pay tribute to writers.
