The entry is dirty and dodgy with disturbing graffiti particularly for youngsters - we almost turned back despite having prepaid . Confusing clues and storyline provided to disappointingly unlock combination locks in each case. The website photos are very misleading . However, the attendant was very helpful and supportive with clues when required .

I hate being negative and wrote such reviews but I have gone with them in a lot of steps and because of their unfair action, I tended to disclose this.
Unfortunately, I have got an unpleasant experience with the staff there.
It was my wife birthday and wanted to put some fun and action in it. I bought a voucher from Group on and booked the session. On that day and due to the traffic jam I thought I won't be able to reach on time. I called to change my booking an hour before my booking. I have got a rude guy answering my call and start giving me a long lesson saying "this is your problem not our problem". I took a deep breath and asked for reschedule this session. He said he could do an exception for me and make it afternoon. I really didn't understand what exception he is talking about but I said yes let’s go for it.

After 30min he called back and said his manager refused to reschedule my booking. At this time I have not said anything except getting shocked about this bad service and hang-off the line.
I went back to Group on asking for a refund due to this situation. I thought that as I haven’t redeemed my voucher I could get back my money at least as per the refund policy.
Hence the got the second shock by the groupon customer service that my voucher has been redeemed by Mazescape. I said I have gone and I booked used my voucher, but Group apologises saying that Mazescape doesn’t want to refund your money as you‘ve cancelled the booking.
The story wasn't finished yet as I am going to take this to NSW Fair Trading to get back my rights and raise awareness among others

Building was a bit difficult to find but there is a number in the email receive confirming the booking (and the reminder one as well). Gave the number a call and they were able to provide further instructions on how to get in to the building and where to find them.
Mazescape is locatged in a sort of old apartment complex. It is filled with graffiti and can be a intimidating but be comfortable knowing you are in the right place. I am sure the hosts would even be comfortable meeting you out the front and taking you in.

This room was good fun. We needed a few hints to get through but with the 3 of us we got through with only a few minutes to spare. There were lots of puzzles and a lot going on in a small amount of space which can make it difficult. We didn't help ourselves by solving one of the later puzzles too early - that then opened other puzzles that we werent up to or able to solve at that time which burnt out the clock a bit.
There isn't a timer in the room so it is hard to know when you are spending too long on a specific puzzle but they used the radio to let us know how much time was left and if we were going alright or were a bit behind.

The mazes seperated by partition like walls so noise travelled between the rooms. We were lucky in that for most of the time we were the only group in there but I could see it making things a bit difficult if multiple groups were going at the same time as lots of noise isn't that great when you are trying to escape for your life!

I ve done a few escape room before but this one is nothing like the other. The moment you enter the building its like you are in the game already as in the movie "Escape Room".

Me, my bf and a few friends participated the Wonderland and the rooms in wonderland are spacious, one room with massive mirrors, and another room large enough to held a picnic.

Before we escape the wonderland, some of us were too confuse and they ended up taking a nap in the nap room (wht?! there is a nap room in the game???). The game master reminded us that we only have 5 minutes left and so we have to continue...

The ending we choosed screw up the real world but we survived. I don't think this is the end game and we will definitely come back for the other theme - Island.

This place is not a movie set so don't expect too much but the plot is awesome and the puzzles flow!

I have done a ton of escape rooms and decided to check out mazescape. Being a new escape room I went in with low expectations. Staff were amazing, flow of puzzles and theming of the puzzles was also great! Puzzles that make sense and don’t make you frustrated is great to see!
The venue it’s located within has character, make sure you arrive early to find your way in! It’s part of the fun.
The room themes are great however a little fragile, but there breed mentions this so just don’t pull on any cables or force anything and you’ll have a good time!

My daughter and i have done many escape rooms and thought to end off our holiday in sydney, we would try another. We like the sound of the room they promote based on alice in wonderland. Booked it over their website for later that day. First challenge was actually finding the premises. There is no signage outside the building. The building itself has the outer appearance of a run down apartment complex, dirty and smelly. After talking to someone on the phone, we got the front security door open and walked into a graffitti filled hallway, looking for the elevator to go to the third floor. The elevator came to a very shaky stop and the door did not open easily. The elevator was worse than the hallway and we decided for our own safety, the stairs were the way to go. Each flight we went up, the appearance and atmosphere of the place got worse and worse. Graffitti covered the walls, rubbish and smelt horrible.
Once we reached the third floor, we came out onto the landing. This had again rubbish and empty bottles lying around. The signs for Mazescape were two A4 sheets of paper tacked to the wall with arrows pointing the way. By this stage, my daughter and i were feeling extremely unsafe and made the only smart decision in this whole experience. We got out of there quickly.
We called the company once back outside and explained to them what we experienced and how it made us feel. One gentleman tried to tell us that the building is just full of art. The building is a run down, graffitti covered, dirty building. We asked for a refund. After about ten minutes, someone actually came down and found us on the street. To be honest, it really made my anxiety soar. He offered to escort us up and couldnt seem to understand that we were not comfortable or felt safe even being in the building. At one point he asked my daughter "has your mum just watched too many horror movies".
So as for this escape room, i can only comment on the building. We didnt make it into the room itself although after googling in more detail, maybe we didnt miss out on too much. My daughter has travelled all over to places such as Germany, Amsterdam, London and many places in America. She has seen and been to many dodgy spots so for her to feel uneasy and unsafe in this location is saying something.
