Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I've just finished Life's an Adventure's July 7 Day Kimberley Explorer - Bungle Bungles, Lake Argyle and Beyond. Thank you to a fabulous company for providing such a memorable and thrilling tour. After doing the Bays of Fires walk with this company I had no hesitation to select them for a visit to the Kimberley.
Our experienced guides Glenn & Janaya were fabulous and looked after us with a packed itinerary including fabulous hiking locations, an exciting helicopter ride into the Bungle Bungles and a jet boat down the Ord River to Kununurra from Lake Argyle dam. Sunset cruises on Lake Argyle and Chamberlain River and a visit to the Durack Homestead. Loved it all!

We recently completed the Three Capes walk with Life’s an Adventure with guides Andy and Tracy, and 10 other keen walkers.
The whole experience was a good one, from pickup to final drop off back in Hobart, everything was above our expectations.
The lodgings and meals supplied at Stewart Bay Lodge and 1830 Restaurant were all excellent.
Our guides were organised and very friendly, offering plenty of information along the trek.
We were all 60+ in our group of 12 and we all coped with the level of fitness required
We would highly recommend this tour to all moderately fit trekkers.

This is a guided walk along deserted beaches in the Mount William National Park to the Bay of Fires Conservation area over 3 days. Approximately 14 kilometres each day, it is mainly beach walking with rock scrambling and some bush. We were guided by the informative and friendly gentleman Glen, always looking after us boiling the billy for a cuppa and even going the extra mile to piggyback each of us across a water obstruction.
Clean and comfortable accommodation in a two story house with two shared bathrooms in the peaceful Ansons Bay. We were spoilt after our walks by Janaya with cheese and snacks, wine and a delicious two course meal, with the help of Glen. If you want to see more of the Bay of Fires than the usual one stop tourist areas then I thoroughly recommend this .

Unfortunately due to the bushfires, the Sapphire track was closed.
LAA choose to continue the tour to support the local community who had been hard hit by the fires and did a great job at finding things to do over the 3 days. There was one day of a decent walk along the stunning coastline in the area and the other 2 were short walks supplemented with a great & enjoyable morning river kayak paddle, a stop at the Killer Whale Museum, an entertaining oyster farming tour and some swims in the pristine ocean.
The guide, Richard, was excellent - very personable & accommodating.
Due to the original guide being unavailable, Richard had taken the time to explore the local area prior to the tour to familarise himself.
These multi day walks are pack free walks where you stay predominantly in the one
location & drive to/from the walks carrying only a day pack. As such you predominantly don't walk a track from start to finish.
They are a more relaxing, less strenuous style of walking and a very enjoyable way to explore the local area.
NB If you have any food allergies, double check upon arrival with the guide & the accommodation that your details have been passed on from LAA operations.
There was also a hiccup with details regarding the kayak not being forwarded to the guests prior to arrival so some didn't have the requested gear. This was resolved.

We were very disappointed that the Three Capes Walk in Tasmania with Life's an Adventure that we booked and paid for was not what we got.
About a month after we'd booked and paid we received an email with lots of pre-tour information, including a paragraph or two detailing alternative days' itineraries "if there are preventative burns in the National Park." I believe that Life's an Adventure probably knew that the Park would be closed for the dates we were wanting at the time we booked, as we had checked out other companies doing this walk and their sites all said "no availability."
I feel deliberately misled.
The guides were great, the accommodation and food were great, and the scenery was great, but 2 of the 3 days on the trip were not the "challenging" walks that we booked and paid for.
I feel that alternative dates should have been offered to us as the Park was only closed for 2 weeks, or a refund.
Having come from New Zealand specially to do this hike, I'm sad to say that our expectations were not met.
I did email the company and sadly their response left a bit to be desired. They merely justified their choice of alternative days' walks that they provided.

We can’t recommend this enough! We had a great time kayaking to Shark Island. Our tour was initially cancelled because of bad weather but Amelia in their office rescheduled our guided excursion for the evening before our booked adventure. She was so helpful and efficient.
As for our guide, Ian: he was amazing. His relaxed good humour and confidence was so reassuring to our inexperienced family.
Fabulous time. Thank you

The 3capes walk is fantastic .We stayed in Stewart’s Bay Lodge , lovely accommodation & restaurant quality meals .Our group of 6 struck it rich as we were led by the very capable Abby & Lolita. We learnt so much about the history of the area , the geography of the land and we also heard the funny stories of those that had been in the area years before us . Abby is a walking encyclopedia!!! All in our group have done many tours with guides around the world & we all thought Abby was the best & most knowledgeable .Would recommend this company to everyone as couldn’t fault them from pickup in Hobart to our return back in Hobart !

The Bay of Fires walk is a fabulous 3 day escape. The north east coast of Tasmania is a very special place to visit with spectacular scenery that is a must see! Our highly experienced walking guide, Glen, was so easy going and helpful. As we walked along he shared his immense knowledge on the local wildlife, geography, geology and history. It was all fascinating and so enjoyable. He really looked after us by boiling the billy for a piping hot cuppa on our breaks. Jenaya organised logistics seamlessly and spoilt us with her magnificent cooking. All very healthy and fresh. It was so nice to relax after a hard days walk with some local wine and a gourmet cheese board while looking out over the water. If you need a total break away where you feel enveloped in nature, this is the walk for you.

We have just finished a 4 day hiking trip with fabulous guides Abby and Tahlia. The scenery was great and this time of year there were wildflowers everywhere. The trip included accomodation and meals and all of these were first class. We had a bit of rain over the 4 days,so our walks were switched around to suit the conditions on the day.

A group of 6 of us did the 3 day Tarkine walk in Tasmania. The highlight was the spectacular walk on the Tarkine coast. The tour was very well organised. The accommodation at Corrina lodge was very good and well chosen, so we enjoyed the cruise on the Pieman river. While the scenery and walks were at times breathtaking, the experience was enhanced by the exceptional help from our tour guides Abbey and Bec. They were competent and knowledgeable and above all caring, flexible and considerate. From dealing with Emma in Head Office to having Abbey and Bec guide us I cannot fault the way Life's an Adventure operates; it's an incomparable organisation in every way.
