Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Leo was a fabulous tour guide. Told us some great stories and we learned a lot of history about Sydney. He was very personalable and helpful about things to do.

It works on a donation basis. Very informative, backstreet tour which shows you things that are not obvious. We managed to get some shade for most of the tour. Just wish we had known about these walking tours upon arrival at the airport - it was only by luck I asked our hotel for a Sydney map that they gave us the “I’m Free” map.

The tour was great. Our guide Paul provided a lot of information and was very entertaining. The pace was moderate so that everybody could keep up. We zig-zaged from old Town square to the Rocks and ended the tour with an excellent view on Sydney Opera House and Harbor Bridge.

2 of us attended both the Culture Capital and Melbourne Sights free walking tours. They were both really well organised and informative.
Lachie for the Melbourne sights and Andre for the Culture Capital tour were both awesome, friendly and knowledgeable about the topics and city.
Would reccommend this to anyone in the Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland areas!

Informative, enjoyable tour of Sydney by Scott. Other feedback would be was that the size of the group was a bit too big to always allow visibility and audibility of the guide.

A great morning spent with our guide talking us around all of Sydney’s sights.
Start at the Town Hall at 10.30 am and finished at the Harbour Bridge at 1.30pm with a stop at Noon.
A very comfortable walk despite the heat !
Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and informative.
The tour was free but if you enjoyed it you make a donation of what you think the tour was worth.
Strongly recommend

Hi There!
Me and my Mum are coming over from NZ in January and I was wondering if your 2:30pm tour would still be running on Friday the 6th of Jan? Super excited, thank you so much!

Hi, we would leave the tour a little early so that we can have lunch before our 2PM tour at the Sussanah Place Museum. When should we hand out our tips? Thanks.

Hi Victria,
You're welcome to leave whenever you like. The tour will end at 1:15pm in Circular Quay / The Rocks a short 500m walk from Susannah Place and close to some quick food options. If you'd like to leave a bit earlier, I'd suggest in the last 20 minutes as we enter Circular Quay.
Have a great flight and we'll see you soon!
Best,

Hi, we are arriving in Sydney by cruise ship and was wondering how far and where the meeting point for the Sydney Sight Free Tour is from the cruise terminal. My husband is thinking of doing the walk up Sydney Harbour bridge, which does not appeal to me, so I was thinking I could do this walking tour whilst he's doing his own thing. Thanks in advance.

Hi Magslram,
The Sydney Sights Free walking tour starts at Town Hall Square a 20 minute walk up George St from the Overseas Passenger Terminal (80% of cruise ships arrive here) or 5 minutes on a train from Circular Quay to Town Hall Station (2 stops).
We look forward to showing you around Sydney soon!
Cheers,

Hello
Do you operate also in july?
It is possible to do the 2:30 and 6 pm tours on the same day?
How many participants for a tour?
How soon shall we register to be sure to have a spot?
Thx
Local Guide Team at I'm Free Tours
Sydney, Australia118 contributions
Hi Remppeg,
- Yes our tours walk every month of the year.
- Yes you can join both tours on the same day as the Sydney Sights Tour finishes not far from the start of the Rocks Tour and your guide can point you in the right direction to get there.
- The group sizes vary depending on the day and time of year, but we make predictions based on the weather and previous years and send a number of guides to make sure the groups are a nice size.
- There is no need to register, you can turn up to the time and date that suits you and you'll find your guide at the starting point wearing a bright green T-shirt!
We look forward to showing you around and let us know if there is anything else we can help with.
Cheers,
Ross
