Very interesting walk, Lisa the guide was very knowledgeable about the places we visited and also about the public transport system. Do the walk early on in your stay and it will save you money with the tips she gives. If you are travelling on your own, good way to meet other single travellers. Everyone was very friendly.

We arrived at the location for the free CBD tour of Sydney and was met by LIsa the guide who was fantastic. A local gal from Sydney and knew everything there was about the city, sites, where to eat, etc. Very entertaining, funny, informative, and just couldn't have been better. A wonderful experience. Went on the tour on February 5th,... More

We often use free walking tours in cities and this group provides a nice one for Sydney. Josh was knowledgeable and passionate about the topics. He did a good job keeping a large group together. I did think the group size was a little large (set 30-40). There was another guide their initially - would have been nice to split... More

A great way to learn the City, from a guide who actually "earns" his fee (you pay what you think the tour was worth AFTER the tour is over). While my feet are tired, I learned an awful lot.

Ross was our tour guide on a very rainy day and he was able to keep us dry by going underground and talking to us on covered areas. Despite the weather, we were able to see quite a lot of the city and he made it very entertaining. He's very knowledgeable of the history and it's surroundings. His tips of... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
