Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Thoroughly enjoyed the recent field trip with Sydney Photograph Workshops and once again benefiting from Daniel Linnet experience, creativity and expertise. Listening and seeing how composes the shot, considerations and thought process is worth the entry price. Once again I went away with a different perspective and keen to go out and do more street photography and challenge myself.

I have been a 'regular' participant at various workshops and would encourage anyone, no matter what level they are at, to join one of the many sessions that are run by Sydney Photographic workshops. You find it enjoyable, informative and come away having learnt heaps and enthusiastic to put your camera to work.

I've been taking photos for years and couldn't work out where I was going wrong. Why were my photos so amateur looking? Well, a session with Daniel fixed that. As soon as the lesson finished I went outside and starting shooting the best photos I'd ever taken - shot after shot - nailed it, nailed it, nailed it. And I'll be going back there again for more tutorials. Just can't wait. Oh, and Daniel and Wendy are first class - super knowledgable and fun! 10/10.

I recently did a four-hour field trip around Barangaroo with Daniel as our tutor. The combination of the contemporary architecture set against the natural sand stone and the changing light conditions makes for great practice. Daniel is a generous, friendly and passionate teacher and he enthusiastically shares his vast experience and aesthetic sensibility in a readily digestible way. I would recommend his courses or field trips for any photography enthusiast from from entry level to accomplished.

I did this course earlier this year. It was informative, interesting and well paced. I went into the course with next to no knowledge and came out feeling confident in being able to use my camera in manual mode. Daniel taught me skills that will serve me for life.
The course notes are a huge bonus and the pace of the course is great. There are plenty of opportunities for feedback on your photos and the day in the city was really worthwhile.
I highly recommend this course.

Massive massive thanks to Daniel and the team for an excellent 8 week course! I’ve walked away with a mountain of knowledge, industry insights, inspiration and tips and tricks from Daniel.

I entered the course with a basic understanding of how a DSLR camera works (I’m using a Canon 90D + kit lens) but I was always afraid of using manual mode.
Early on in the course, Daniel explained the theory of controlling exposure and shortly after had the whole class comfortably capturing images in manual mode.

Throughout the 8 weeks I had so many ‘aha’ moments, where Daniel’s teaching style helped me connect the dots with my previous basic knowledge of photography. Everything just started making sense!

Although the course is naturally fast-paced, Daniel always had time to answer questions and help everyone with their individual needs. The class were using a range of Canon, Nikon and Sony cameras but Daniel helped each person understand their camera settings.

I’d recommend this course to anyone ranging from very beginner (only just bought their first camera) to more advanced photographers. You will be guaranteed to learn something new.

Thanks again,
Brad

I have just completed the Premium Portrait Photography Workshop with Daniel, supported by the ever-helpful Wendy and Ben. I was everything I had hoped for – by the end I felt confident to plan, setup, manage the dialogue with models, compose shots to tell a story, and understand the many options my camera settings would give me to get the results I wanted. I now feel I have a process that will serve me well taking portraits of people in (almost) any circumstance. Daniel is a superb teacher and makes the whole learning experience fun and accessible. I will certainly be back for more courses soon!

Hi Daniel and Wendy,
Thanks for your workshop yesterday. Your combined effort and skill have helped me to open a new chapter in my journey as a photographer, artist and art teacher. The workshop gave a comprehensive insight into technical, practical and artistic approaches for the generation of quality location portraiture.
I will recommend your course to my colleagues and students.

I have just completed the beginner’s course and have to say that it was one of the most enjoyable learning experiences I have had in years! I started the course very nervous about being able to understand the millions of buttons on my camera and never thought I would be able to take photos that looked great. I was wrong. Daniel explained the underlying principles in an accessible and comprehensive way so that we could all make our own decisions about how we wanted our photos to look. Surely this is at the heart of photographic creativity, and something that he made me believe I could achieve. I now venture out with my camera set nearly permanently to manual. Even though I am at the beginning of my journey as a photographer, I am already producing photos that elicit emotional responses from people who see them, and which I am proud to show off. Thank you Daniel.

I can’t recommend this company highly enough.i have completed 3 courses and find them all to be easily explained with no pressure - just positive comments and suggestions to help you improve your photography.
Whilst they are very professional, they are relaxed and easy to learn from.

Over the past few years I have attended a number of courses and workshops at SPW as well as one on one sessions with Daniel. Each time I have come away with a better knowledge and understanding of my camera and lenses (all of which I purchased based on Daniel's recommendations) as well as what my camera and lenses can do and what I can do with them. I have progressed from an enthusiastic amateur to now storing my photos in Lightroom, editing them in Lightroom and Photoshop and printing Photobooks. All thanks to SPW and Daniel's skills and patience in teaching others. I thoroughly recommend SPW to anyone wanting to improve their knowledge of photography and their skill set.
