Neighbourhood: Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
How to get there
  • Town Hall • 2 min walk
  • Museum • 5 min walk

We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Located across the road from St. Andrew’s Cathedral, Regent Place is a small, compact, retail precinct. It is spread over a number of floors and contains quite a few dining experiences.

A small mall along the main road off the stretch of George Street. Mostly dining options plus some retail/ health services related shops. Nothing really much but worth a drop-in short look if one is looking for food options or just nearby.

We happily stumbled upon this arcade when looking for a place to eat. There's plenty of restaurants to choose from and the atmosphere is very vibrant. There various types of Asian cuisine on offer and being there reminded of our travels through Asia, albeit a more sanitised and upmarket version.

This small shopping centre next to Town Hall has a number of medical establishments on the upper floors, which may be of interest, and a reasonable selection of eateries on the lower floors, mostly Asian. Corridors are narrow and escalators are in strange places, making it a bit hard to get around.
