I have been doing boat parties in Sydney for more than 6 years and Sydney Event Cruises is my favorite regarding service. They are always on time, the team is always looking after your event. They are professionals, doing their job always on A level.

David, the captain and the crew worked hard ensuring all the passengers enjoyed the 4 hours on the Harbour during the Australia Day celebrations. While the Supercat isn't luxurious there was plenty of room and seats for everyone. The bar was limited but well priced. It was a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. …

After a slow start boarding all guest we had an amazing day on the Sydney Harbour. We felt part of all the action of Ferry race, tall ships and cannons! The boat had enough space for all guests, a DJ and drinks flowed. Fantastic way to spend Australia Day 2020!

It could have been better organized at the start at Wharf 7, we arrived 18.10 well ahead of departure at 19.00. There was no information anywhere regarding any cruise leaving from wharf 7, a representative from the cruise company there to assist customers would have been nice. Having said this there were no representatives or info for any other cruise company either departing from Wharf 7, there were number of cruises departing around the same time. Boarding was quite smooth; once boarded we went to the bar for a drink and received our green premium drink package band for our wrist. As advertised there was Champagne as well as other premium drinks available if you had a premium drink package. The “Champagne” turned out to be from memory Tatachilla white sparkling wine and retails at about $12.99, this is not champagne. We asked for an Absolut Vodka & Tonic and were told it was not available to us even if we had purchased a premium drink package. My question here is to who was it available then, also why have it in the bar if we are not allowed to drink it! Absolut Vodka is by no a means a premium Vodka, the Vodka we got served was unknown. The canapes served consisted of some seafood (prawns, oysters, mussels) and other food including some vegetarian food as well as sweets, this was limited to a small amount pretty much as per the advertising. The choice of music was fantastic, very good Australian and International dance music I'm sure everyone enjoyed that part, unfortunately the volume was far too load. I am the first to say pump up the volume so you “feel” the music but when it feels like a knife cutting your eardrum and not being able to hear what your dance partner is saying to you - not good! The staff did a brilliant job, I thought both barmen did well. The barman on the upper deck unfortunately seemed to work alone most of the night, we did not get his name but a very big thank you to him for a great job done along with the other crew. The Captain did a good job getting around to various good vantage points for a great view of the magnificent firework display over the harbor. Theme for the night: Color, there was supposed to be a competition for the best dressed person on board with prizes consisting of a trip to South Africa one to Thailand and one to Bali, we saw and heard nothing regarding that. The same goes for the signature cocktail which were supposed to be on offer throughout the evening. In all we could have had better value for the money we paid which made it a somewhat disappointing experience. I feel parts of the advertising was a misleading, it promised more than we got. Would I book this again – No…

I'm going to copy most of someones post because it was so spot on....adding my bits as well... Tickets said we were taking off at 10:45 am and said we should get there 1/2 HR before because we would be left behind if not there on time!!! We weren't told the name of the Boat...hence major confusion as lots of boats use the same wharf as ours and there was a lot of confusion to which boat people were meant to board....with the sun beaming down on you and with no water to drink...made the start of the cruise very unpleasant, I feel this could have been avoided with some better planning and not letting another boat jump the Queue (which is the excuse we were given for the delay in our pick up) Not sure whose fault this was...we should not have had to wait 1.1/4 Hours Did enjoy the Cruise, staff were friendly, more seating could have been made available, the food was over priced for what you got.Overall a good day, another time I would inquire a bit more on the facilities etc... Show less…
