Somewhat pricey but well worth it!

Small tour company run by experienced couple. From original conversations to our final tour, they took the time to understand what we wanted and requested our input as tour agenda were first proposed and as they evolved. Spent 2 full days with Scott who is exceptional. Made us feel like we were visiting family. Clever little extras abound.

I booked two tours with Sydney Private Day Tours that we had to cancel because of the coronavirus scare.

Julia and Scott were understanding and responsible. They issued an immediate refund.

They were with us for months while we planned our customized day trips. And when the trip fell apart, they were still with us.

You can trust this company to be professional and friendly.

Sydney half day private tour was amazing!

If you would like to learn about the history as well as see the beautiful city of Sydney this is the perfect tour! Julia picked us up from our hotel and treated us like family as she introduced us to her home town. We had a tour the previous day with a group and Julia was happy to organize our time together based on the small amount of the city we had already seen. I wish we would have scheduled a full tour with her. We hope to return to Australia soon and will definitely contact this company for another private tour!

If you want a personalized tour of Sydney, this is it! Not only does Scott take you to Sydney's iconic spots, he will also show you some local spots, which have some of the best views of the city, or the beaches. For a first timer in Sydney, I'm glad I took this tour, and highly recommend you as do as well, to get a good layout of the city and then explore it on your own afterwards.

I've always had a soft spot for privately owned businesses simply because of the personalized service. I couldn't have chosen a better guide to show us Sydney at night. Scott took us to a side neighborhood before the police closed down the streets where we were able to see a dry run of the New Year's Eve festivities at the Harbor....sort of ike a back-stage pass to a major event. Turns out Scott also enjoys a good ghost story. He brought us to a known haunted pub where we shared stories. A must-do indeed.

The timing just before New Years Eve was an added bonus and getting to see the 'Dress Rehearsal' for the Sydney New Years Eve celebrations was fantastic - especially from the up close vantage point. It was great to take memorable photo's of the Sydney Harbour Bridge light show 'preview'. I thoroughly enjoyed taking you both to one of Sydney's oldest pubs at the end of the tour and sharing some colourful tales and ghost stories of this fabulous, historic venue. This is the most professional tour organisation that we have ever encountered.

This is one of the most difficult reviews I have written, simply because I feel I would be reiterating the many excellent reviews.
However the purpose of a review is to help others make decisions about which company to use.
We have used private tour guides in many countries but this company is undoubtedly the most efficient, thoughtful,considerate and professional I have ever encountered.
They have excellent vehicles, they think out of the box e g. Included was all entry fees, lunch, snacks, even animal feed to enable feeding of kangaroos etc.
If one is a single visitor they will only charge you the single fee unlike many others who dictate minimum numbers or who cancel because they have not enough numbers consequently leaving one stuck at the last minute.
They go the extra mile as amply illustrated in the reviews.
Thank you Scott and Julie for giving us one of the most memorable days in our travelling lives.

Scott picked us up at White Bay Cruise Terminal on time, loaded our luggage and off we went! Scott was a good driver and the vehicle was so comfortable and easy to get in and out. We were driven to many venues/sites all with knowledgeable commentary from Scott. He was attuned to what interested us as well, making the tour unique from others we have taken. We would definitely book with them again. Very good value for your money. We highly recommend them!

My day was perfect today.
This company exceeded my expectations...
Scott with Private Day Tours picked me up at the hotel as scheduled.
Private tour for just myself.
We took off for multiple beach tours/ small towns and great lunch spot!
Scott was full of history, facts and fun stories.
I can't wait to introduce/ refer him to my clients coming to Sydney. I am sure they will be taken great care of.

Worth every penny!

Our day tour was amazing! If you aren't a fan of big bus tours and want a private affordable tour, this is it! We toured the Blue Mountains, hand fed kangaroos at the Featherdale Wildlife Park and stopped at the Aboriginal Centre. Scott was the perfect guide. He was knowledgable, easy to talk to and flexible to what we wanted to do and where we wanted to spend our time. He even took pics for us and sent them to us later that day. We also stopped at a local bakery for lunch and where we experienced our first meat pie. It was delicious. Highly recommended this tour company.

Best Guide in Australia

On a recent trip to Australia, I used several different tour companies for private tours and Julia from Sydney Private Day Tours was by far the best. From her wonderful personality to her knowledge of the area, the 8+ hours we spent together was wonderful. Julia adapted the tour to what I was interested in and had great recommendations for lunch and shopping too. She even brought home-baked cookies for morning tea. Julia's husband Scott was leading the same tour with other guests on the same day, and he seems like a fabulous guide too.
