Bonza Bike Tours was founded in 2004 to create a unique experience in Sydney. Before we came around, there was no way to see all that Sydney has to offer without killing your feet or being stuck behind the window of a bus. We focus on creating a fun environment where you can become part of the active lifestyle that Sydney is famous for, while having a few laughs with fellow travelers. We look forward to seeing you in Sydney – and Melbourne, too!

Loved it! The tour guide had lived in Sydney his whole life. He was lively and interesting. He knew about botany, construction, history, birds, wildlife, and real estate. The equipment was top notch and extremely well maintained. they had bikes of all shapes and sizes, ride along wagons, helmets, small bags, sunscreen…. they have thought of everything. The Bonza Classic Bike Tour was the perfect way to get to know the city, see the famous sites and get the blood flowing after a long plane ride. Matt, the tour guide, was great and provided suggestions on where to eat, and other things to see and do. If you can ride a bike, you will enjoy this bike... More

If you want to get a quick overview of Sydney, do the 4hour tour. Great and energetic tour guide -- we had Mat as tour leader. They seem to know their way around. Ask them for other suggestions (like restaurants) as well. We loved it!

Got into Sydney this morning at 6 and had booked a tour for 10.30 not knowing whether we had done the right thing. We had! Adam took 11 of us around and was great fun and knowledgeable. We saw a lot of the bridge and opera house as well as the surrounding area which is just what you need to... More

Wasn't sure what to expect....I am reasonably fit but wasn't really in the mood for anything too strenuous (I'm on holidays, for Pete's sake!) Took the whole family (kids aged 7,9,11) All sorts of fitness levels were catered for as it was not too hard but we still dashed along and saw everything we needed to. Couldn't have been better.... We were too late to book onto a tour and also we wanted a bit extra freedom. The bikes were good but what was exceptional was the service and friendship we were offered. We were given a map that our host drew on to allow us to follow the tour route and our host talked us round it. It is... More

Unless we were not travelling with another couple, we would not have even considered a bike tour but I have to say it was brilliant that we did. Matt the guide was excellent and made sure we all kept together without becoming too over protective. This was an excellent way to see the sites and cannot recommend enough that you... More

My college age daughter and I went on this tour. Our leader was Kat, who was very knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating and fun... We went up on the Harbour Bridge, toured around the observatory, the Opera House, through Chinatown, around the Quays and the Royal Botanical Gardens. It was a lovely day for the ride, which was mildly strenuous in parts,... More

Set in the Rocks, this bike shop will hire you a decent hybrid bike to go exploring. I have hired twice and expanded my experience and knowledge of Sydney hugely. Last visit I did CBD to Manly- this is a challenging ride but well worth it. Lots of juicy hills. Not for the faint hearted. The staff here are friendly... More

Staying in The Rocks

Neighbourhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighbourhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
