About
In the average escape room or escape game, people are locked in a themed and decorated room and have to find keys, decode clues, and solve puzzles in order to "escape the room" before their time runs out. Usually, participants have 60 minutes to escape. The puzzles inside each room are different, but usually consist of logic puzzles, riddles, and even physical challenges.

My friends and I do quite a few escape rooms, and knew that this was a popular one in sydney from tripadvisor/ google. We gave their MU-T room a go with three people. It was an underwhelming experience honestly, the room wasn't very immersive and it looked very old. The room really needs an update - everything has tape on it and it just doesn't feel great when you are playing. Some of the puzzles were alright, but some had really weird leaps in logic required. The gamemaster we had seemed nice - but it felt as if he didn't want to even be there. We aren't rushing to do their other rooms.

We were two couples who participated in the Museum Escape Room, MU-T Room.
Overall, we had a good experience although a mechanical video did not function, later in the game we realised we definitely needed the video and finally radio'd for assistance.
The video explained, obviously wasn't the same and an aspect was missed which delayed our progress. We lost 10mins in total with the fault.

A number of the themed clues were not inline with the escape room and could be, with a few tweaks. The mechanics overall were cleaver. I also think an escape room should require no outside knowledge from the room itself, which made one puzzle a bit difficult.

One deterrent was also not great and clearly outdated from people trying different things to make it work.. maybe just fit it instead of putting tape over it?

Could only do it with a minimum of 4 people.

We did appreciate being able to finish the game, given the video fault.
I have read a similar review and therefore would love if the owners could take it on board and implement key updates.

Teens can be tricky so a glowing review from the kids (along with a plentiful serve of hysterical screaming) means that CT did their job.

Right in the heart of the city near Pitt St Mall, above Breitling Watches the building and lift are only a couple of years old. The hostess also operates the door and runs the show as far as clues go.

We had the teenagers and in the other room there were some 20+ nordic travellers.

The witch room is apparently dark and scary the other room which we did was partially lit and more of memory of places and sequences / codes over 3 interlinked rooms.

We were told an adult could accompany at no extra charge.

The rooms were not well maintained or decorated and some of the puzzles were broken.
We did have fun, however we came in a group of 6 and paid $36 per person. For this price there are many other escape rooms which are much better quality in the surrounding area.

I did not think that I would enjoy this very much, but was pleasantly surprised.
We had a lot of fun trying to solve the puzzles to move from room to room. They give you some clues if you ask when stuck.
We were in there for just over 1 hour and the time flied!
Will possibly do this again as it was Fun.

3 rooms to choose from - museum, Pokémon, witch. We had the Pokémon room without having any Pokémon knowledge! It didn’t matter!! We had a great time! Very creative! A great team building experience! Would definitely do again!

This is the 7th escape room - The Witch - a bunch of us (6) have been to. Some puzzles were so confusing that after asking for help, it would be impossible to figure out THAT is what you had to do - some had no correlation to the story line itself. Clues themselves were very hard to understand from the heavy accents of the gamemaster. One of the last challenges was impossible to complete - we knew how to do it, but it required a '1 degree accuracy' which was impossible to achieve, completely ridiculous. Even the staff couldn't get the challenge to complete as they were trying to show us! Realistically, it was probably broken and they couldn't be bothered to fix it! Furthermore, after we had failed to finish in the time (due to the broken challenge), they left us in there for an additional 30 minutes before coming to let us out! Most of us had already given up and were left there sitting, waiting for a staff to open the door. We radio'd in as we were confused, but were given no reply. Would definitely NOT recommend this room, especially for the price we paid! 10% Escape rate? Probably the 10% before the room broke!

I’ve been to 3 other escape rooms within sydney and this was my least favourite.

Our walker talkie died mid way through our room and we were unable to contact staff for clues. An item fell from the roof and hit one of our team members on the head.

We have done both the Witch and MU-T. MU-T was good, however the Witch left a bit to be desired. The high tech-ness is cool but it didn't fit with the witch story and some of the puzzles left us a bit confused. Overall, I'd give Mu-T 75/100 and The Witch 55/100
