We’ve walked along the Solitary Islands coast for 3 days so fabulous to visit the great aquarium and research centre - with fish feeding. Highly recommended

This is a must see if you travel with children. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and the aquatic life in the small aquariums have loads of personality.

Best family outing in Coffs Harbour! The adults learned just as much as the kids. Such a great setup for all ages.

Small but informative

Lovely aquarium without all the crowds. Well priced with engaged staff. Our visit was limited to 1.5 hrs due to COVID and we stayed the entire time

Worth the trip

Book online to reserve your spot. This little gem is cheap and interesting for both adults and kids.

Makes you realise the importance of Coffs as the warm East Aust current meets southern cool currents.

Great little aquarium

Due to COVID, they currently have limited spots, so you must book online through their website to secure your spot first. Then when you arrive, you can pay in person. We arrived at 10:30am on a Saturday and booked online for the 11:30am group, we just walked down to the beach until it was our turn. Which is also worth a visit.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. There was a large variety of fish, an octopus, hermit crab and touch pool.

Some of the exhibits were interactive. The building has three main areas. The entire building is well maintained and has clean bathrooms. Would recommend a visit if you're in the area.

Not what I expected.

Paid for entry, was not very informative, told to walk through and have a look around and that was it. It took a whole 15 mins to see everything with no guide or information. Boring.

Nice afternoon activity

Lots of cool sea creatures to look at. Had an interesting documentary. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They are restricting the number of visitors at a time due to COVID making it nice and quiet while you’re there.
It was reasonably priced at $12 per adult.
We were just sad there wasn’t more of it.

Friendly staff

Short experience as it's not your average aquarium type experience with only a small variety of sea life to see but very knowledgeable experience.
Unfortunately for us it was kept short as our children are too young to understand the talks and information shared.
Basically just looked at all the small tanks, played in the boat and that was it.
The two staff were very welcoming, friendly and shared lots of information.
Would recommend for anybody willing to listen to the information shared and for older children who understand and can possible ask questions.

Children under 3 are free but I wouldn't recommend this experience with younger children.

Top customer service !

A small aquarium but well worth it with younger or early teens. The staff were superb!! As it was part of the University, the staff we had were research students who interacted with the visitors & gave very detailed explanations of the fish & various sea life on display. It was very very interesting - thank you!
